Keith asked why the began when they did & hopped back  forth.  My response it to grab the audience with an exciting opening.  Other than that there really wasn't a reason to do it that way.

I liked David Blue & hope they do fun things with his character in the near future.  How long we stay with the show I don't know.   I like some of the other folks, such as Colonel Everett Young (Justin Louis).  It was the script & direction I had the most problem with.

TOD:  I remember how excited I was when I first really started poking around the internets and found all sorts of CD importers from Japan, etc., and was able to get formerly Holy Grail CD titles like The Heart is a Lonely Hunter or The Fox.  So much has been released in the intervening years, there's really only a handful of titles I'd love to hear cleaned up and digitized, chief among them my frequent request:

Also, the original television soundtrack of MANNIX would be great (Lalo did a re-record a few years ago which I have, but I like the original better).

Sad, but true. However, the Star Trek franchise has always been based more on character than on action - the opening was really not all that exciting because we had little or no investment in the characters.

Isn't Kelvin a unit of temperature department?

From today's emails:

FROM KELVIN WILLIAMS
PO BOX 61 WODEN ROAD
WOLVERHAMPTON UNITED KINGDOM
WV10 OBY
Tel/+447035936856

Dear friend,

Please pardon me, as I am aware that this is not a conventional way of relaying an important message such as this. I did try without success to locate either your contact address or fax number and as such, I resorted in contacting you via email. You can ignore this mail if you are not interested. I have a proposal for you, this however is not mandatory nor will I in any manner compel you to honor against your will.

I am Mr Kelvin Williams and I work with a security company (THE GUNNEBO SECURITY COMPANY LONDON). Here in this company existed a dormant account for the past 8 years which belong to an American national, late Mr Roy Howard who died on Alaska Airlines.

When I discovered that there had been neither deposits nor withdrawals from this account for this long period, I decided to carry out a system investigation and discovered that none of the family members or relations of the late person is aware of this account. This is the story in a nutshell.

Now I want an account overseas where the company will transfer these funds. Thereafter, I had planned to destroy all related documents for this account. It is a careful network and for the past eleven months I have worked out everything to ensure a hitch-free operation.

The amount plus all the accumulated interest the balance in this account stands at-(US10.5 million US dollars).

Now my questions are:-
1. Can you handle this project?
2. Can I give you this trust?
3. What will be your commission?

If you can sponsor this transfer, consider this and get back to me as soon as possible. Finally, it is my humble prayer that the information as contained herein is accorded the necessary attention, urgency as well as the secrecy it deserves.

I expect your urgent response if you can handle this project. Please email me for confirmations that you will assist me and i will also appreciate you give me an urgent telephone call for confirmation.

I am expecting your urgent response as soon as you receive my message.

Respectfully yours,

Mr. Kelvin Williams.

Penelope was indeed released on CD by Chapter Three (now defunct and CD oop), and How To Steal A Million has been released recently.

"Penelope" was issued on CD by Film Score Monthly backed with Mancini's "Bachelor in Paradise".

"How to Steal A Million" was issued on CD by Intrada (and they issued the complete original score along with the LP tracks) backed with ""Bachelor Flat" (a 2-CD set)/

Both are available through Screen Archives Entertainment's online website.

Well, time to get some cleaning done around the house. My friend Lori, who I worked with at Bi-Mart oh so many years ago, is coming by and we are heading over to Star of India for lunch with my friends Ron and Patrick, and I don't want her to see all the dust in my home environment.

Do you mean to tell me they have a store for bisexuals to shop in called "Bi-Mart"?

My wish is for the house to sit there unsold for a year.  That's my wish.  And my other wish is for the contractor on this job to have one of these built next door to HIM.

Careful what you wish for....it may result in monthly visits by oafs who will saw and hammer and park in their usual parking spaces doing upgrades the owners thought of afterward.

TOD:

I have several Holy Grails - "Spartacus" by Alex North (the complete -- or as complete as possible -- score)

"South Pacific" -- entire musical score, including the sensational underscore by Alfred Newman

"Camelot" -- entire musical score, including the sensational underscore by Alfred Newman

"Resurrection" -- my choice as Maurice Jarre's finest, truest film score.  The music is amazing for this Ellen Burstyn film.

"Bird of Paradise" -- Daniele Amfietheatrof's vibrant and lovely score for the 1951 film in which he composed original music and adapted some of Alfred Newman's "south seas" themes.

I would say that HHW is the Happiest Place on Earth, but Disney would probably sue.  I would also say that you meet the nicest people in the world here, but that logo is used and predominantly painted on the outside of the building of a Harley Davidson  sshope in a  less than desirable part of downtown Phoenix.  Perhaps one day I'll visit the Harley shop and meet the nicest people!   :D

But we all are a great bunch, and  I'm glad you and this site are here!

Stupiest news-story quote of the day:

If Obama can't sway Olympic officials, how can he wring concessions from Iran on its nuclear program, secure crucial support from allies to overhaul two wars or rebuild the U.S. image in the Middle East?

I might be thinking of one of the other Newman/Darby collaborations, but I believe one of the CASTRECL people offers a bootleg of the complete score (with outtakes no less) of SOUTH PACIFIC, courtesy of his friendship with Darby.

I know for a fact CAMELOT's entire score is available, because I have it.  I believe I purchased it from the Soundtrack Collector guy who's in LA (BK probably knows him), and it may have been ripped from the DVD--haven't listened for a while.  Something in me thinks not, though, because I don't think there's dialogue in the scenes where there would have been had it been ripped from the DVD.  Maybe if someone is especially well behaved, they might get a copy.  :)

Had to go ship an overseas package, and had to proof the new booklet - all that is done and approved and on its way for approval by the studio.
