With just a few more posts, DR François will become a HHW HERO MEMBER!!!!!!!!!   :)   :)   :)   :)

Oh I have been a "hero member" already many moons ago, but I did re-join not too long ago, so ...

Hero member, you were a god!

Oh yeah, you are right!

The "graduations" were different then!

My natural modesty (!) prevented me from remembering that once I was a god!! ;)

(Only at HHW one could be a god!)

Kerry, are you getting a flu shot tomorrow? I have the fun bandaids and the lollipops.

Most likely.   I usually don't but have been around too many people lately who have been sick with one thing or another.   We'll see.

Don't ask me why, but I am just so fond of the name "Pasadena".

I also like that wonderful Pasadena Roof Orchestra.

Back from a fabulously fabuloussssss dinner with Miss Karen and her ever-lovin' Cason at Genghis Cohen.  We ate ourselves silly (steamed sole, orange chicken, green beans, lettuce wraps - a Miss Karen fave - pickles and slaw, crackerjack shrimp, and some other chicken dish.  We laughed and laughed and just when we thought we could laugh no more, we laughed again.  Tales were told, ears must have been burning, and it was all just delightfully delightful.

Remember I said that a home-grown DVD of the film Holy Grail we're doing was on its way?  Well, I suddenly had the bright idea to search it on YouTube and the entire film was there in eleven parts.  So, this afternoon, I watched it, figured out where the cues went, titled them, and that's a real jump on things as I now have a very clear edit map.  There were three cues that weren't in the film at all, but since the score seems otherwise to be in order, I put them where they would have gone had they been used, and it's fairly obvious what scenes they would have been used for, and I suspect there were a couple of discarded scenes along the way, hence the discarded cues.  And there are three source cues that I'm not using (I'm maybe using two - haven't decided yet - one for sure).  What a movie - I was misty-eyed for most of it.

Of course, I'd love to see DR Laura on "Cops". -She could take the crime scene photos. Or she could be the "nosey neighbor" with the pixelated-out face in the background. ;)

Well, I have to get up and sing in the morning.   Guess I'd best retire for the evening.    Again.

Smooches, kids!        :)

As for film scores, if it wasn't for Krtizerland, I would be clueless.

Me, too.

I'm glad Kritzerland is helping to introduce some dear readers to film music.  When it's good, it simply cannot be beat and I am here to tell you we've got some goodies comin'.

I started watching the Bravehart Blu-Ray.  I have not seen the film - I had no interest in it at all back when it came out, but I'm finding it enjoyable, if a little bloody.

We just came back from the People to People orientation meeting.  Gabe was nominated to be a student ambassador with a trip to England, France and the Netherlands next summer.  Betsy and I are of course excited beyond words.  Gabe couldn't care less.  Sigh.

Congrats!  And good luck!

Today, I went to work for a couple of hours and then met with some friends to see "Zombieland," starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin, and as himself, Bill Murray.  I didn't know anything about it, other than that it was a zombie movie.  It was very funny!  If you liked "Shaun of the Dead," I think you'll really like this.
