Thanks DR Laura, we all do, too.   I'm taking it really seriously.  I've only been really really sick once when I was living alone and I don't want to go through that again.

You are soooooo lucky!  I've been really sick lots of times.  Worst than alone is alone with 2 little children and no family around.

I've been really sick when I was living with other people. The thing that is so scary when I'm alone is I'm always afraid I'll go to sleep and no one is around to make sure I wake up.

Distressing ending to TAR.....but it had to be, I guess.

I also found it distressing even though i sort of dislike both of the last place teams. I thought the globetrotters were quite mean-spirited. But if i was the blonde girl's boyfriend i would have picked her up and thrown her off that slide. There is no excuse. People have fears, they are scared. But for a million dollars i think she could sit down, shut up and close her eyes. I was furious at her for being so uncompetitive. I'm glad her boyfriend forgave her. But she was being a whiny brat. I also thought she would do it. I mean there were others on the race who were afraid of heights and water. But really that girl did not belong in the competition. She was so bad at everything. And just sat there while her boyfriend built the glass things. Oy!

Funny, my reaction was the opposite - if he hadn't been such a jerk and almost did throw her down the slide, maybe she would have done it.   I didn't blame the Globe Trotters.  They didn't know how long they had been there or what she had been saying before they got there.

DR DAW several months ago we were discussing the books TITANIC: THE SHIP MAGNIFICENT.

I did get volume two last month - volume one is still on back order.  I switched my order from the two book slipcase version to the single volumes.

But.....save your money - more that 70% of the photos are of the same area of the ship of the Olympic...and not actual photos of the Titanic.  There are some interesting things of course and good deck plans....but NOT worth the money....unless you would like to see the stairs on the Olympic that look sort of like the stairs on the Titanic.

I know the feeling.  I had a neighbor call me every morning to make sure I was alive and the boys weren't alone.   Keith was in Rio for work, poor guy.

Once the other team arrived, they only had two minutes to begin the task or step aside anyway.  I think if HE had gone first, she might have followed......

Very nice to "see" you too! It's been said before but, on yesterday's pics you looked smashing!
Lost some weight (Stanley?) ? (Don't say! Don't say!)
The Vixter looks so much like you! Lucky she!

thank you! I am feeling very well in fact, due no doubt to all Love and Concern shown to me by the wonderful residents of this site including a certain wonderful Frenchman who sent me the long desired but beyond my means "Yellow Eyes" cd!!   :-*

I haven't watched THREE RIVERS yet, although I am pretty tired of the promos.  The premise is just so odd to me.....each week SOMEONE has to DIE so that someone can live.

Is much made of the donors' lives?  It just seems to creepy for me.....like they are vultures waiting for the kill so they can harvest those organs.

AMAZING RACE SPOILERS BELOW~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Once the other team arrived, they only had two minutes to begin the task or step aside anyway.  I think if HE had gone first, she might have followed......

Or if he would have been a bit nicer about it.  Just focusing on the money instead of focusing on her doesn't really encourage her to face her fear.   I was glad the Globe Trotters are still in it. I like them

Wow, i thought her boyfriend was way too generous. He could have easily picked her up and forced her down. But he didn't. I would have! To me she was truly being ridiculous. I mean why did she even agree to be on the race if she wouldn't even try anything new. And to me rapelling off a building would have been MUCH WORSE. The slide you could just close your eyes and be done in 10 seconds. I can't believe you thought he was the jerk. I think he was a jerk for saying he forgave her for being such a whiny brat! :)  And i think the globetrotters were mean. Yes they wanted to win. Yes they wanted her not to do the task. But the way they were taunting her. I thought they did it in a really mean way. I found them obnoxious.

I like the Globetrotters as well....but they could be on the line next week, although from the previews they certainly pick up Dutch dancing quickly.  And you are probably right, as an ALWAYS single person, I do not understand the couple dynamic.

DRs Jrand and CIllaliz you should put the name of the show in big letters in case someone like DR Mbarnum reads HHW before watching TAR. You mentioned who was not eliminated at the end.

Thank you to DRs Jane and Jennifer for the concerns you expressed over our lack of an elevator.  We realized tonight that, assuming we stay out all day tomorrow, we'll only have to climb up one more time (down is a piece of cake!).

I don't think DR MBARNUM scares about spoilers.  Knowing the end doesn't bother me either - it's a television show.

Speaking of flu, we had a funny thing happen at Junior's today.  Richard was wearing a clerical collar and, when asked his name by the host, said "Father Palmer."  We sat down to wait for our table and a couple came in with the husband wearing a surgical mask and gloves.  They had a long conversation with the host about their "requirements" and were seated immediately.  We laughed over the fact that, apparently, a mask & gloves can trump a clerical collar.
