WEAVERS FROM FLANDERS
« on: November 04, 2009, 12:01:28 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes have weaved, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently seeing the weavers from Flanders and getting some Worsted suits.

Note:

The Weavers were NOT from Flanders, they were from Greenwich Village, NY

5 a.m. and I cannot sleep; I'm frustrated by the possibility the inept conductor of the Sept 1 orchestra reading is being kept on the project, and the refusal to replace him is getting to me. i've read through the complete score of PEER GYNT, the incidental  music for the play and not the two suites from it, as well as the critical notes, and i'm ready to tackle the inventory of the Victor Herbert Collection at the Library of Congress.

This cold continues to drive me mad as well, and while I wish I'd taken some Nyquil, I don't like the drugged effect I have when I wake. Damn!

No, but I think the Flanders did come from Weavers.

Aha!  And DR ELMORE you know what Rita said.....when asked how to solve the staging problems in producing PEER GYNT she said:  "Do it on the radio!"

It was nice to read about the tinkers and the weavers and have that little bit of history in case I ever go on Jeopardy or Who Wants to Be A Millionaire.

Very happy that gay marriage passed in Washington state, but sad that it did not in Maine.

My question for ASK BK day......who do you think was the best designer of (then) contemporary clothes for film.....the one who most captured the spirit of the times while still managing to be forward and innovative.

Now I must restart my computer after updates.....and go to Goodwill and hope that the great print is still there since Monday, I can afford it at 30% off!

I'll be working on ZORRO the rest of the afternoon, but as I'm going to the theater tonight to see THE WOMAN IN BLACK, I won't be able to come anywhere near to finishing what I need to watch to write up the two sets.

Yes, DR JRand, I'm expecting Annette to show up at some point. Henry Calvin sang in one of the episodes last night and showed his musical theater chops beautifully. He actually had a very nice voice. Probably need to go back to KISMET and listen to him more.

I still haven't gotten around to MAD MEN from Sunday, and I also have last night's NCIS: LOS ANGELES to watch.

And, of course, KJathy Griffin's stand up special last night which I likely won't get to until I finish up with ZORRO.

Just a reminder that GLEE is not on tonight due to the World Series, but MODERN FAMILY has a new episode at 9.

Question for Ask BK Day:

Which album that you've produced has sold the most copies?

Do you typically keep up with sales figures for all of your releases, both old and new?

Very disappointed that the majority of my fellow New Jerseyians decided to reject the first fiscally responsible governor who held the office in over twenty years for a fat guy without a clue.

Good morning. Ginny, Charlie, and Michael are all at the vet. It is very quiet, except that Wally and George are demanding more food.
