Thank you all for the vibes! My voice is in terrible shape, and the cold appears to have moved from between my eyes and my upper lip to my upper lip and my chin. I will be glad when it ends up in my feet, which should be, at the rate it's going, in about two months.

So I'm watching Season 4 of IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, and I would say it's the most surrealistic and bizarre season. After that, I'll probably watch a few movies, although I am not certain what yet,

I also reviewed SWING VOTE, and I didn't like it much at all, but I did like the young actress who played the daughter (who acted more like a mother to the juvenile Costner character.) She was the film's saving grace, I thought.

I finished NORTH BY NORTHWEST when I went back down. I love that the Blu-ray was not a BD-Java disc and the movie picked right up where I stopped it last night without my having to search for chapter 38. Very convenient.

I also watched the new hour-long documentary on Hitchcock. I felt kind of sorry that the talking heads had only Hitchcock's Warner films to use as their points of reference. Obviously there are a few really wonderful fims there, but you know they would have rather be making their points using REAR WINDOW or VERTIGO or PSYCHO or SHADOW OF A DOUBT instead of STAGE FRIGHT (which I very much like, BTW) or I CONFESS.

And DIAL M FOR MURDER looked pretty terrible in those clips. A LOT of work will need to be done on that before it will be Blu-ray ready.

Did they need to identify each talking head EVERY time he or she came on screen? How many times must we be notified that the speaker is "William Friedkin, Director, THE EXORCIST."

As I ate lunch I watched SUPERNAURAL. As DR Ron Pulliam mentioned the other day, the episode was brilliantly creative and tons of fun, another in a long string of home runs the show has been hitting during the past two seasons.

And next week's show (I glanced at the previews) looks equally appealing. I LOVE this show!

I watched Kathy Griffin's comedy special today as well. Some very funny bits, particularly about Whitney Houston on Oprah. That had me rolling.

Back from a lovelier than lovely luncheon with dear reader Jeannie.  The food was fine, the conversation sparkled, and she had a really good thought as to what my problems are with the left side of the mouth.  She feels that my natural bite may have been thrown off by the placement of the new crown and that my mouth muscles are compensating and getting really sore - that makes total sense, so I'll call Dr. Chew and see if he can check it out and maybe file it down or re-position the crown.

I think that declawing cats is a barbaric practice, even though I didn't realize that until after I had Angel and her brother P.T. delcawed.  Still, I am afraid that banning the practice will cut down on the number of cats that will be adopted.  Just my two-cents.

I agree TCB.  I had my first cat declawed, I'll never do it again.  It's like cutting off a human's fingers at the first knuckle.

That is a very good guess.  Sometimes it takes a few visits to get the sizing right, and more comfortable.
