I watched NICHOLAS & ALEXANDRA last night and enjoyed it.  I thought Janet Suzman was very good....Michael Jayston had a couple of weird moments when he was really really ACTING UP A STORM.....and I don't think I have to see it again, but I enjoyed it.

The Figure Skating Finals were supposed to be on Universal Sports tonight, but a Fox Midwest FOOTBALL game is being broadcast instead.

Jeannie didn't want the beef

I'm surprised she didn't ask them to substitute tuna salad.

It is still flashing for me.  Thank goodness I'm not prone to seizures or it would give me one.

I obviously have not been following ice skating lately, I don't know who these people are.

After I finished up Season 4 of IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, I watched a 1934 Joan Crawford film, SADIE MCKEE, which I liked very much. I primarily wanted to see it to hear and see Earl Oxford, who played the juvenile lead in Life begins At 8:40, which opened in October 1934. He has a very small role, playing the singer who replaced Gene Raymond in Dolly's stage act, but he does sing a refrain of "All I Do Is Dream Of you."

And now, to bed.

Had some interesting viewing this evening.

I began with TWO GIRLS AND A GUY. It has a great premise, but oh, boy, did it go off the rails for me about halfway through, and it only got worse as it continued. I didn't believe the things that were happening for one minute once things went south.

The Blu-ray is only slightly above average though the film was made in less than two weeks and for very little money. It did offer the R-rated and NC-17 rated versions on the same disc. THE NC-17 version is a little over a minute longer, most certainly due to added seconds in the lengthy sex scene between Robert Downey Jr. and Heather Graham (who is the best thing in the movie).

There was a commentary (dull) and a 20+ minute conversation with the writer-director James Toback talking about the movie's production which was more interesting than the commentary with him, Downey, and Natasha Wagner (Natalie Wood's daughter). There was also a trailer.

Then I watched three more programs from the DVR. I skimmed through Friday's AS THE WORLD TURNS. There was nothing of interest, and the boys didn't show up in the previews either.

Then I watched Friday night's UGLY BETTY. Oh, Betty, please! You can't have your cake and eat it too! You can't be an editor AND long for your old job as Daniel's assistant.

I found the scene where Amanda gathered together a group of guys for Betty to take as a date to a charity funtion very insulting. First, she judged those guys on their looks alone and not on any attributes they might have (which is what she's been dealing with for four seasons. And the biker guy looked kind of hunky to my eyes.) And seconly, it was JUST an escort. No one was asking her to spend the rest of her life with any of these guys.

I did like the surprise with Nico, but I can't believe Willi hasn't seen through her yet. Wake up! She was already duped and lost her fortune. Are the writers seriously going to have her fleeced again?

I finished my evening viewing with Friday night's WHITE COLLAR. I did enjoy this episode much more than last week's. Had some decent mystery and surprise to it, and a lovely dog subplot for DR Jane.  :)

TemporoMandibular Joint disorder can be aggravated by too much jerky and too many JuJuBees.  Clenching your jaws and grinding your teeth don't help either.  My dentist made me a guard to wear over my upper teeth to help me keep my jaw relaxed when I sleep.

But alas, she is old and some people are of the opinion that viewers don't like to look at old people.

I guess that explains why "The Golden Girls" was such a flop :-X

Tonight I watched Cats 101 on Animal Planet. I couldn't find anything else I wanted to watch.. We did discover that mom and dad's Phoebe is a Bombay.  No doubt about that one.

Today is DN Adam's birthday...well it's almost over.  We had a nice conversation.

On the other side of the family, DN David had to go to the hospital for the second time in three nights.  They think he has kidney stones.  He's on blood thinners for life because of his mechanical heart valve. As a result he was having a lot of blood in his urine and a lot of pain.  They've gotten the bleeding to stop and he's had some heavy duty pain meds.   Hopefully this will pass, and he'll recover quickly.  it's been a helluva year for that poor kid.

Meanwhile, I was starting to stress a bit because I spent the whole day doing yard work and not working at all on my brief that's due Wednesday....then I stopped and realized it's not due Wednesday....it's due a week from Wednesday.  What a relief.  Tomorrow is going to be a much better day now

I got one of those at the drugstore and thought I'd see if I can handle sleeping with one before paying bigger bucks for the one from the dentist. Was it hard to get used to?

TMJ can also be triggered by stressful situations such as working on a long musical with a set of collaborators that don't really collaborate.
