My nephew said he felt like he was going to cough his guts out.  don't know if that answers your question

I began my viewing today by watching last week's MAD MEN. A very emotional episode with the Kennedy assassination and Oswald's murder and the jaw-dropped reactions of everyone. Nicely done without being overdone. I also love the way various plots involving the cast are shaping up for the finale. Beautifully done episode.

I watched the first LAW & ORDER on Friday night. It was an involving episode with more gang/drug/intimidation stuff for the legal team to deal with and a smarmy lawyer played by Jonathan Cake representing the drug cartel. I liked it.

I watched FLASH FORWARD while I ate lunch. One of the best episodes in weeks as some surprising and very gripping events happened.

Then I watched SAY ANYTHING. What a delightfully different teen slice of life movie! I think I had seen it but on cable rather than reviewing it in a theater. John Mahoney was just superb. How did he not get an Oscar nomination for ths?

The script deserved some recognition, too, because it was so fresh and unusual for a teen movie. Not the usual junk about having all the booze, drugs, and sex one could consume in the summer after high school graduation but something a lot more involving and identifiable.

I got all the bonuses done, too. The commentary is ported over from the DVD releaseof some years ago, but there are some new featurettes including Cameron Crowe looking back on his first directorial experience in a separate interview, and the three primary cast members also looking back on the experience of making the movie twenty years ago (my, how they've all changed! I guess many of us have in twenty years!)

The one bonus I didn't like at all was a bunch of minor celebrities (including Thomas Lennon and Ben Garnet from RENO 911!) exclaiming their love for the movie quoting dialogue and metioning iconic moments that have stayed with them. Seemed kind of un-cool to me. (They did that on the CLOVERFIELD Blu-ray, and I didn't like it there either.)

Sunday afternoon greetings!  I drove most of the way home from Lima this afternoon and we were stopped on I-75 just south of Dayton for an accident in which a pick-up truck with a U-haul trailer attached had flipped over on its side (but the trailer did not).  It snarled traffic for a while, then those of us in the left lane were directed to go around by driving down into the grassy median.  Fortunately we haven't had rain for about a week, so it wasn't muddy.  The highway was quite a mess and I hope everybody's OK - there weren't even any police or emergency vehicles on the scene yet.

Glad Zack is doing better & big time vibes he stays that way.  I did a little googling & found a couple of comments from parents saying their children had H1N1 & what sounded just like coup, which the were very familiar with.  I personally would make sure I could hear him during the night, or at least let him know to wake you if he is having trouble breathing.

After reading a cousin's post on Facebook, I decided to join her, her new husband and their year old baby for an excursion to the zoo.
