Tomorrow I think I'm going to do another Criterion disc, a violent gangster saga I've never seen before GOMORRAH. I have it on both DVD and Blu-ray, so I'll do the DVD first.

This weekend, I've got to work on a Blu-ray box set of three Kevin Smith films: CLERKS, CHASING AMY, and JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK. I have not seen the latter two.

I loved the link of the dogs welcoming home the soldiers....Callie and Boo, on the other hand, were totally freaked out and ran to the window and to the door looking for the dogs that were making such a racket

Thanks for all the HHW vibes!! Just got news that David also spoke to a urologist today who said his problem is some sort of genetic skin flap or something like that. They can go in and remove it outpatient on Tuesday. His kidneys are fine. Hopefully it will work out that smoothly. Another scare for the poor kid.

It was a spur of the moment trip - my mum's reunion committee is meeting tomorrow and one of her classmates and her husband came down to help get some things together. The husband, Leo, suddenly said, "Let's go to the casino." I said, "I'm putting on my shoes." He said, "You're driving," and we were out the door. Finished with Logan's Run and am now watching the film with the score that I transfered this afternoon. I think there will be several cues that went unused, although the entire score seems to be pretty short - around thirty minutes. However we had some bonus material - the composer tapes has what the composer originally wrote for the main title, which differs from the film - what's in the film isn't on the tapes, but I can grab it from the DVD - it's totally clean.

When I went to Vegas with my mom, she loved the dollar table Black Jack and the penny slot machines. That was six years ago. I looked last time I was in Vegas (summer 2008) and those bargain opportunities to lose your money seemed scarce.
