Well, you've read the notes, the notes were egg-like, and now it is time for you to post until the egg-like cows come home.

I've always liked the movie, "Logan's Run," although I haven't seen it in quite a while.  I remember liking the TV show, too.

TOD:

Ask bk -

bk, do you have to pay the same royalty schedule [mechanicals] for songs on a DVD release of a concert or cabaret program as you do for a CD release?

Work contiunes apace until November 25th.

I have a presentation tomorrow morning for the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and next week I have two presentations, one for Elma Philanthropies and one for the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.

I have finished my annual big project. It now rests in the hands of my supervisor. I can only hope that for the first time in approximately 10 years the project will be completely and totally finished before I leave for vacation. For any number of reasons that has never happened but this year the odds look good. One can only hope.

I have my annual performance evaluation coming up. No date has been set but it will happen before I go on vacation. As far as I'm concerned it is a massive waste of time and energy for everyone involved, but then that's only my opinion.

The annual

Stephen J. Falat Holiday Basket Project

doesn't begin this year until December 4th (a bit later than usual due to the late date of Thanksgiving) so I actually have a few real days of vacation until the volunteer work begins. We set up on December 4th and then begin filling the bags on December 7th. That takes approximately 2 weeks, depending on how many bags need to be filled. After that I have a whole two weeks for us (Anthony and me).

That's the news from lower Fifth Avenue.

Whew - now I know why Billy Fury recorded mostly covers of American Hits.  Of all the 26 songs on this Adam Faith cd, there are only 2 that I like.  The rest are like B sides.

They must have sent the good stuff to Cliffie Richards first, and Adam got what Cliffie didn't like.

Poppies used to be "poppy-ular" here, too, but I haven't seen folks wear them for years. My dad always wore an artificial one on Veterans' Day.

Good m orning!

Heavy rains here this morning, so the walk is having to be done in stages on the treadmill throughout the day. At least it's not super cold. That helps considerably.

I must confess I will be glad to be finished with SCRUBS. The show's mix of silly and serious just doesn't sit well with me any more (it used to be one of my favorite shows, but two or three people overact so shamefully that the mixture of acting styles and storylines just grates on me.)

I only have NCIS: LA on the DVR which I'll watch as I eat lunch today, so I have no idea what I'll watch tonight for leisure viewing before GLEE comes on. I don't even know if it'll be something unopened on the stack or a revisit to a favorite film. I'll just have to see what I'm in the mood for.

Good morning, all! Yes, indeedy, today is a Federal Holiday: no mail. While it irks me, I don't know how our DR MattH will survive. I think he and I are the most manic DRs about postal delivery.

The cold continues its move through my system, and I do have the majority of my voice back. The gunk in my head which felt like concrete is now breaking up and, in general, I feel pretty good.

Today, I am stuck here awaiting an Office Depot delivery of paper, ink and bindng clips. I need to run down to Staples to pick up some things I left yesterday to be spiral-bound. Between Messrs Moross and Kern, I have plenty of work on my desk today.

Everyone in my family wore them in the 1950s. I haven't even seen one in years.

If they were being delivered by Kinko's, we could say: "Kinky!"   But they're not, so we won't.
