Jane, if you take up JMK's pool cleaning job offer, maybe you could get your Bentley:

der Brucer

LOL-As nice as the Bentley is, it is not worth the pool cleaning job.  We had a pool in Michigan & it was a total pain.  I'll admit I loved the swimming part of owning a pool.

DR elmore3003 - I'm sure it is difficult to turn down work.           :(

It isn't always, DR DAW; sometimes it's very easy to turn something down that you don't want to do. This one was because I love the show, think the score is really good and I like the people involved. I would like to have a working relationship with the director, and I would be happy to work with the composer and lyricist over and over again since I really believe in their talents. After today's email, the composer may never want to see me again. I would be pained by that but I also know that i'm the one dropping out.

Will any other DRs have a chance to audition apply for this job??         :)

DR MBarnum lives closer than I do ;)

Kitten Wally has a green puff ball that he is defending from Kitten George. There is much growling and running.

:D  Did you catch it on video?

I slept really late today -- mostly because I woke up around 3am and couldn't get back to sleep until around 7am.

I put the time to good use -- watching a marathon of saved up episodes of FlashForward.

I doubt there was any connection between these two things.  ::)

DR JMK, congrats to Betsy on her hit routines!!!

I won't discuss how I just misread that sentence, LOL.

In the spousal hilarity department, we taped Betsy's routine last night (I'm going to try to digitize it and can make it available to anyone who's interested).  She was playing it back this morning and TIMING how long people were laughing.  ;)  (Nine seconds was the longest laugh).

About 15 months early.

So it costs $50 to get a membership card to Costco to be able to get inside the door?  Good luck to them in Manhattan.  They are going to need to come up with some free trial membership, I suspect.

Most CostCo's I've been to will let you in the door to browse.  If the greeter does not let you in, then s/he usually directs you to the membership desk - then you can walk around the warehouse with an application in hand.  They also used to let you buy things there without a membership, but they would charge you a 5-10% fee.  However...  I know a number of NYCers who already have a CostCo membership - they usually shop in Jersey or in Brooklyn.

Now that he can't defend his male honor, the green puff ball is all that is left to him.

But will it stay in place when he's wearing a thong?

CostCo is a phenomenon, like Sam's Club.  They needn't worry.  Folks will be knocking one another over trying to get in the door.

Bonus points to RLP for the correct use of the singular phenomenon.  That is one of my criterions for assessing one's grammar skills (little joke there--miniscule perhaps).

Former news anchor Betsy is known to rant over incorrect subject-verb agreement with the plural "media."  :)

Jane, it was too dark to get a video, but he's been running around with a piece of a feather boa, as well. I need to get a video of it.

For anyone interested:

I stopped by the adoption bus today and met the adoption coordinator. She said Michael and Charlie got adopted right away last weekend. Ginny is going to the senior center event this weekend (since she is such a lap cat). If she doesn't get adopted there, she'll go to the pet shop where gray cats get snapped up right away.

The last batch all went to the pet shop, where they stay until they are adopted, and indeed Cillaliz, Elmore, and Antonia were adopted several weeks ago.

Kittens Wally and George will go to a special event on December 3 where all the people looking for pets make very good money.

There were only two candidates for the post at B'wayworld - 3D Diffusion and Francois.  Since Francois had written me a very similar e-mail I thought it was pretty obvious it was him.  He acted as if I'D attacked that poor fellow - I just asked him if he'd read the post to which I responded where I was called names, and where the poster just made things very personal.  I doubt I'll hear back.

I slept very late - too late to know do a jog because the drive to West Hills is a thirty-minute one and it would be cutting it too close.  So, maybe this afternoon if there's time, or for sure in the morning.

Like a bad penny - He just keeps coming back.

After seeing many dead Popes, some stunning statues and tapestries, and after climbing more steps than I ever knew existed; I have decided not to visit with Pope B tomorrow.  Too tired.

Actually, the "post" at Broadway world -- one AmicusJusticiae -- was written by an individual with a birthdate of June 19.   Look at your birthday calendar.  I deduced this from looking at the profile info on the poster there.  It may be that the individual on the calendar isn't the same individual at Broadway world, but...

Instead I will be throwing some coins in the closest fountain I can find, and relaxing until it is time to go to the ship.
