I took a good, long look at THE GOLDEN AGE OF TELEVISION this morning. Five of the eight programs are less than an hour long. Only the last three (REQUIEM FOR A HEAVYWEIGHT, THE COMEDIAN, DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES) were done on Playhouse 90 or in 90-minute slots. So, I should be able to get four of them watched today easily. There appear to be some interviews and commentaries with at least some of the programs. But I haven't put any in the player yet, so I don't know which ones have what yet.
The booklet that comes with the set has a nice opening essay about live television and essays on each of the eight programs.
