I had never seen the teleplay version of DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES. John Frankenheimer wouldn't agree, but I think Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick have it all over Cliff Robertson and Piper Laurie in the TV version. He was very bitter about not getting to direct the movie of DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES.

I did have time to watch tonight's NCIS episode, a very interesting case since the power was out all over DC, and the gang had to use old time methodology to investigate the crime. I really enjoyed the show.

Good Evening!

It's been a "roasted" evening: fennel, Brussels sprouts and chestnuts!

YUMMY!

What is with DAW and this incessant need for "E"'s?

Wilde Again: Fowler, Racey, Maloney and More to Star in Off-Broadway's Ernest in Love...I don't suppose that Kritzerland could record another Irish Repertory Company production.

And on that note (G#), I'm going home to do some laundry...a lot of laundry. :P

Until later!

Finished watching Galaxy Quest, about which more later.  I'm so exhausted from today's stuff.  And tomorrow I have a two-hour meeting about the long musical that I do NOT want to attend, and I never had time to consolidate all the notes into one document - maybe that's what I'll be doing for the rest of the evening.  And then a screening tomorrow night, which I may blow off.

Is that a "not" or a "note?"
DAW already stole my E. . .

Hello, everyone.

Today I met with my new tax accountant, who seems to be on my side, unlike my former (ah-hem) guy. A welcome change. Then I made the trek into the Hills to retrieve some winter clothes. (A friend is letting me store some things at his house.) As warm as the days often are, it can be quite chilly at night here, and since this house is without heat... I now have sweaters and socks and even a winter coat. It was a bit like Christmas.

I spent this evening at the local butterfly association meeting. They asked us each to submit butterfly photos for the slideshow. I submitted my backyard photos, and they were impressed I had monarchs. They also liked my emerging queen photo.

Ok. Have fun with that set-up.

George, some years ago a friend of mine tried to drive his Mazda RX-7 through a flooded stream. It didn't make it. Not a million-dollar car, but a mess just the same. I guess he just underestimated how deep it was.

Well... I don't think anyone here posted about Mrs. Simpson-Wentz's upcoming appearance on the Great White Way.  -At least she's already done the show in London. :-\

DR Druxy, my last Amazon delivery was very fast. They used a company I'd never heard of. Can't recall the name just now. Sorry you had such bad experiences.

and for those people with too much time on their hands, may I suggest this activity?
The Facebook Trick: Press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, enter key then right click. Then press up then down & magic circles will appear! The only way to stop it is to log off or reload the page...IT WILL WORK!
