Then I watched ANGELS & DEMONS. Both the theatrical and extended versions are on the disc, and I opted for the extended version (146 minutes). The movie follows the book very closely to my recollection (I read the book quite a long time ago), so some of the problems I had with the book were also present in the movie. A lot of racing around in the film (which gets kind of tedious after the second killing) since the heroes are working on an hourly deadline to prevent assassination of potential Pope candidates.
Better than THE DAVINCI CODE? Well, they're both pretty preposterous in terms of the villains depending on a lot of things happening in a certain sequence in order for their schemes to work out. I'd honestly say one is no better or worse than the other for me.
