Well, you've read the notes, the notes procrastinated, and now it is time for you to post until the procrastinating cows come home.

What about a Kritzerland release of "Woman of the Year"? You brought it out on CD before. Sometimes a day goes by, when I don't think of certain songs ...

Well, I head back home today.

I shall have a little breakfast, and then head to the pool to do my morning laps.
Then back for packing and heading to the airport.
It's been a great stay.

BK - I'm here, and to prove it, I'm here.   I'm sure I posted yesterday, but I did catch up and then uncharacteristically forgot to post, because it took a while to catch up and I was rushing to get out for the evening

I liked Pasolini's DECAMERON TALES probably for the same reason MR BK didn't like it.

I now have transportation again.....noiseless transportation!

And now I am off to do Monday things.  I know it is Wednesday!

My question for ASK BK Day!  What do you think is the most memorable Oscar Telecast moment....not necessarily an acceptance speech.....

PRESSURE POINT has some intense musical moments.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Now that Thanksgiving, the ordination, and this month's grantwriter meetings are over I have to catch up on some details of MY life - returning an overdue library book, renewing my license plates, etc.  That's what's on my agenda for today.

I've always thought that THE TALL TARGET is a first-rate thriller.

How much of it is fact and how much is fiction, I don't know.  However, it is based on some actual events.

Good morning, all! I have a day to myself but most of it will be spent on the BABES IN TOYLAND report, which for reasons I'm not able to explain, may not be the final draft I actually submitted. I am not amused. I also have a trek to the Lincoln Center NYPL around noon to verify one footnote from The Chicago Tribune, March1904.

BK, Pasolini's obsession with Rome's ragazzi and his politics were major contributions to his violent death, but I can think of many artists - straight and gay - who put their obsessions into their art, so whenever he had a chance to include nude young men and women in his films, he took advantage of it. Were Andy Warhol, Paul Morrissey, and the young John Waters -  who seem to be the American equivalents of Pasolini in style and content, and criticism of the Catholic Church - so much different? They too got funding for their amateurish art as film makers. Pasolini's film THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO ST MATTHEW is quite beautiful, and one in which the amateurish performances of its nonprofessional actors adds to the film's simplicity. I also like his film of MEDEA with Maria Callas, although I rememberr thinking at one point, enough of the philosophy and politics; get to the story. When I first got to New York, the old Thalia at 96th and Broadway, where I first saw THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL, showed Pasolini's films regularly, and I got to see many of them. Some I enjoyed more than others. I also find Pasolini and Derek Jarman similar but I prefer Pasolini. Maybe the subtitles add to itheir charm?

DR Matt H, I cannot confirm it on AfterElton, but I think Kyle and Fish are on ONE LIFE TO LIVE today. I thought I had read it a couple of days ago. They've got to set up the romantic triangle and have a bit of violence.

All right. I've got things to do. First, some oatmeal.

And The Song Of The Day Is:  IT NEVER ENTERED MY MIND

Life is not complete alone
The man who came to dinner lets me eat alone
I confess it, I didn't guess it:
That I would sit and mope again
And all the while I'd hope again to see my darling dope again
It never entered my mind

The verse "I don't care if there's powder on my nose" always reminds me of the verse to "Jeepers Creeper"'s
"I don't care what the weatherman says . . ."

From what I read, they're going to be on five straight (pardon the expression) broadcast days: from Wednesday through next Tuesday.

Good morning!

Rain, rain, rain all day today, so my walk was out and I had to head for the treadmill, my least favorite method of getting in a walk. CHilly today, too, so it's a good day to be inside.

I've had no UPS deliveries (I actually wasn't expecting anything more this week), so it looks like another day off for me.

I plan to rewatch A VERY SUNNY CHRISTMAS when I go back down in the minute, and I still have plans to watch GLADIATOR on Blu-ray this afternoon. Tonight, I will likely watch a James Bond film. I may choose one on Blu-ray or pick on that hasn't been ported over to the format yet.

TV Tidbits:

Both episodes of MODERN FAMILY tonight (8 p.m. and 9 p.m.) are reruns tonight. So are the other ABC comedies. EASTWICK does have a new episode tonight.

GLEE has a new episode tonight, the penultimate one before the half season finale where the club goes to Sectionals.

I was very disappointed that TNT has canceled RAISING THE BAR. The show was finding itself in its second season, the characters were becoming more interesting, and the pacing was better. I still think the show tried to cram too much into each episode: two cases which often were underdeveloped plus all the melodrama playing out between characters who were sleeping with each other or breaking up and still having to work together. A shame.

Now TNT has only THE CLOSER and LEVERAGE as regular attractions for me. SOUTHLAND will get to play the six new episodes that have been produced, but TNT is going to rerun the first seven that premiered on NBC first, and I'm afraid they won't draw a great audience because they're reruns, and then TNT will lose interest in the show and not produce any more episodes of it.

USA seems to have all of the momentum at the moment with BURN NOTICE, ROYAL PAINS, PSYCH, WHITE COLLAR, and IN PLAIN SIGHT (plus continuing with LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT with Jeff Goldblum).

bk, I don't think you'll like ARABIAN NIGHTS any more than CANTERBURY TALES. I haven't seen it in quite a long time, but I remember it being pretty violent. Many critics seemed to like it more than CT, but I didn't.

Question about GLEE - I've missed the last 2 episodes and not even had time to watch them online.  Is there anything I should know before watching tonight's?
