Well... I guess it was 64 degrees here in NYC. I just made a run - well, walk - to the store, and there's definitely a chill in the air - as well some wind and gray skies.

Anthony is decorating the living room, Mario Lanza's Christmas CD is playing and I'm looking to see where we might find (in a brick and mortar store) an ION USB Cassette Deck. We may have to resort to an on-line purchase but it would make it easier for the in-laws if they could go to a store on Long Island.

I learned at Tams-Witmark that my theory on the Entr'Acte and Exit music was incorrect, but it was fun to see the original pit parts and the conductor's book as well as the original, gospel quartet version of "Necessity" before it was redone for the ladies to sing. It was also nice to see several friends there,

After that, I made another stop at the NYPL to check a footnote on Historic Newspapers Online and now I'm home and back to proofing this endless report /history I wrote.

Back from the post office and have more small customs forms. The guy told me he thinks I'm getting some boxes I shipped overseas back because they had the small customs form rather than the large customs form - they don't weigh enough to need the large customs form but apparently the box I used, which they're saying is a flat rate box can't be used for overseas without the large customs form, even though the postage is correct and the weight is correct for the smaller form. I'm not going to be happy if this is true, but nothing has come back yet. Guess I'll have to use different kinds of boxes now. I can't keep up with their damn rule changes.

We just heard from our DS Rob that he will, after all, be allowed to march in commencement a week from Saturday. He'd missed the "deadline" for reserving a seat (due to conflicting information from his academic advisors), but was told to show up and talk to the officials. He just visited the bookstore for announcements and cap and gown.

So, we'll get to see Rob receive his undergraduate degree and Faith Prince receive her honorary degree!

Before heading off to lunch, I rewatched the "Jump" number about six times from last night's GLEE. Completely infectious and toe-tapping. Really enjoyed seeing it again and glad I didn't erase last night's show before I could revisit that number.

Lunch started late and lasted longer than planned, so I didn't get as much watched this afternoon as I had hoped.

I did watch CORALINE. I watched the 2-D version (3-D is also included, but I wanted my first experience to be with color as accurate as possible and sharpness untinged by the ghosting that sometimes happens with that old anaglyph 3-D technology.

It's in the CORPSE BRIDE realm of weird, somewhat charming but slightly overlong for its story animated films using stop motion animation. I enjoyed it, and if folks are tired of giving Pixar the Best Animated Feature Oscar, it or PONYO could win instead of UP. We'll see.
