Later tonight, I'll mosey on over to the postal office and ship some packages and envelopes.  Was anyone aware that Slumdog Millionaire was based on a book?  I got it today - it's called Q & A and it's very hard to find in its original UK first edition.

I also got a French Blu-Ray from France of De Palma's Phantom Of The Paradise - if it's just an upconverted version of the French DVD I suppose it won't be too thrilling, but if they'd done a hi-def transfer for that DVD then this should look very nice.

Well, it's looking quite a bit like Christmas around our house.  The angels have taken up residence on the piano, surrounding the Advent wreath, and the stockings are hung by the chimney with care.  The candle lights in the windows will have to wait until after next Tuesday afternoon - that's when the crew is coming to clean all the windows and swap the screens for storms.  When Rob gets back from Michigan (travel vibes, please) and needs a break from final exams, we'll decorate the front porch railing.  I'm still trying to come up with something new to do with the inside stair rail.  I wasn't happy with the new lighted garland I bought last year because it doesn't drape nicely.  Any ideas?

I used to be able to crack my butt.  In fact, there is a very famous ballet based on that very thing.

Right now, I'm listening to the song, "What a Night This Is Gonna Be," sung by our very own BK (subbing for Alan Abelew...if I remember correctly) and M'Lisa MacLaren from BK's very own show, Stages.  Just before that, I listened to "Here We Are," also from BK's very own show, Stages.  And the next song on my compilation CD is "When It Comes to Bed," sung by Jeff Maxwell and Deborah Moradzadeh.

Just had to share. :)

Did some DR from NYC send me a pristine copy of the souvenir book from Miss Saigon?

If not, some EBAY seller done sent me the WRONG thing, and I need to chastise him.

I don't know whether to spank or thank.

Help needed.  I cannot identify DFK on W 43rd St in NYC.

Condolences to the family and friends of Mr Mayo.

Yes, DR MBARNUM - The Hunters also stars Mr John Gabriel - originally cast as the Professor in the pilot of GILLIGAN'S ISLAND.

I used to do a tune from PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE years ago--is there a song which starts out "I was not myself last night," maybe?  Lots of minor 9ths?  That's what's coming to me, anyway.  ;)

I just found out I can take a completely ONLINE defensive driving course [with no final exam!] that will reduce my car insurance rates by 10%.  And when I reported that I was no longer [currently] using my car for commuting purposes, that knocked another good chunk off.

Never mind - it was supposed to be a HELLO DOLLY program I ordered for my display case.  I have emailed the seller, who is obviously quite unorganized, or does not know his Channing from his Saigon.

Finished watching Phantom of the Paradise and am re-watching the documentary, which I'd seen on the French DVD - the Blu-Ray looks great and, best of all, is all-region - even the extras play.

Good Evening!

Well... Since I had some chicken parts in the fridge, I decided to go ahead and cook them up for my dinner tonight. -They're currently resting on the counter while the roasted veggies continue warming up in the oven.

*Oh, and I made a batch blondies (brownies) earlier too.  :)

From the mouth of smart-aleck sons department:  Gabe in the car to me a few minutes ago:  "Mr. Powell (his science teacher) told me the Big Bang was 12.5 million years ago, but I don't believe him because I think you'd remember it."  :)

Well, if you don't, I'm pretty sure that DR elmore or DR TCB would.
