I no longer own a Blackberry Storm 2.  I just cant' get the touch screen keyboard.  Anyway, I turned on my old blackberry today and it worked!!  So, I took the Storm back to the store. When I cam home I discovered a roblem on the old key ad.  Yup....there was no "p".  Well it's there, it just doens't work.  So..I did whatI should have done in the beginning. Turned in an insurance claim.  I'll get a new blackberry curve on Monday to replace my old one

DR Cillaliz - glad you have a solution that will make you happy.  I personally like the Storm's click screen [over, say, the iPhone's "slab of glass" approach with no tactile feedback], but I'm sure you get used to whatever you use with time.  Many people say they will never move away from a physical QWERTY keyboard - which is, of course, one of Blackberry's traditional strengths.

From the mouth of smart-aleck sons department:  Gabe in the car to me a few minutes ago:  "Mr. Powell (his science teacher) told me the Big Bang was 12.5 million years ago, but I don't believe him because I think you'd remember it."  :)

Well, if you don't, I'm pretty sure that DR elmore or DR TCB would.

;)

Actually the Big Bang was the last time I had sex.  Twelve point five million years?  Yeah that sounds about right.

I think I could get used to it, and there were things I really loved about it.  I may upgrade to one of them when I get my new every two in April.  I think part of it is that I have the phone insurance and can get a new curve for $50.  That and I really am having trouble with the click keypad.  I keep hitting the wrong numbers etc.

Later this afternoon I went to Pier 1 to see if I could finally find the writing desk I want for my library/conference room.  Not an office type desk, just a writing desk for those times I need to use my laptop in the conference room.   Anyway, they had a clearance desk that was exactly what I had in mind!   It has some light scratches on it, so I got her to give me a damage discount (the floor model was the only one left and it's discontinued so can't be ordered).  So I got a $400 desk for $150.  I feel like I got a real deal and it's just want I wanted.  It's not on the Pier 1 site anymore, so I can't include a photo.

I got some excellent shows watched tonight. I began with the Blu-ray of UNDER SIEGE. This was always the DIE HARD wannabe on a ship (in fact, I heard that the second DIE HARD was going to be set on a ship and they had to rewrite the script once this came out). A pretty fair action film with Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey chewing up the scenery because star Steven Seagal wasn't going to be doing ANY acting at all.

The Blu-ray looked just OK. Certanly better than the laserdisc I had of the movie (I never got it on DVD).

Next I watched a SUPERNATURAL episode from the season four Blu-ray. This was the one that had Sam and Dean in office jobs and with totally different names and personalities though they slowly realize they were meant to be hunters. A very entertaining episode, especially funny since the Winchesters in this alternate reality became Smith and Wesson.

George, how was POONA?

Yeah, this 'Poona' show, it's not really for children.

I enjoyed the evening, but I didn't love the show.  The script is hit and miss.  Some of it is very funny and some of it...not so much.  Overall, the audience really enjoyed it, but there were a few times that you could tell things in the script just didn't work.  The actors were great, though.  They were all very good with a LOT of energy.  Last night was their final dress, so technically it was a rehearsal.  But even the parts where mistakes occurred (like when Scott, the storyteller had to stop and rewind the cassette tape on stage for one bit because the tech person didn't) were pretty funny.  The stage manager yelled "sorry" three or four times during the evening.  And there is something to offend just about everyone...really!  One of the characters (one of the two aliens from another planet) is named C*nt (that's supposed to be a "u" instead of the "*") and is told that you can't say that, and C*nt, in a modern version of "Who's On First," thinks that "That" is the word that can't be spoken, but everyone does and doesn't understand that it's his name that is offending.  That was pretty funny.  I don't know if I'll see it again, but I'm certainly glad I went.

I skimmed through today's ATWT. Luke was on for a few scenes wondering why his mother and her husband were sleeping in separate bedrooms. Nothing with Luke in the previews for next week.

Tonight's GHOST WHISPERER had a better episode than usual this season. Very little this week with Aiden and much more with Melinda and Jim. And a good mystery this week.

MEDIUM had a very good episode, too, though I could have done completely without the Lee/Lynn proposal story. No more uninteresting character could have been introduced to this show than Lynn, made to accommodate the producer's wife.

LOL, I guess I could have.  It was dark by the time I got it home and in the garage.  Maybe I'll take a photo tomorrow

Yep, that was Greg.  He's been appearing on quite a few CBS shows as of late, including one of the CSI shows and NUMBERS.  He never fails to let me know when he's going to be on - I like that in a friend.  :)

Looks like I'm going to have the weekend free. G-FORCE on Blu-ray was mailed out this week, but my copy did not get to me today, so I won't see it until Monday.

THE MEL BROOKS COLLECTION is coming - 9 films, and I already have several on Blu-ray already, so I can get the jump on that set by rewatching the ones I already have next week (BLAZING SADDLES, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, and I've already reviewed SPACEBALLS) and writing them up.
