Well, you've read the notes, the notes were perfectly boring, and now it is time for you to post until the perfectly boring cows come home.

We had our load in yesterday and it all went smoothly. We are ready to begin bag packing on Monday morning at 10:00am

I came home exhausted. We cleaned up, had a bit to eat and then I went to bed. I am now eating my oatmeal. I won't be watching Arthur at 7:00am because it's a repeat of one broadcast earlier in the week.

I have to get a Hannukah present since it begins next Friday evening if my calendar is correct.

We were lucky the weather was so nice yesterday. Today we are supposed to have rain turning into possible snow. The sand trucks are out at 16th Street and the West Side Highway ready for action.

That's all for now.

Saturday morning greetings!  I woke up early thinking about paperwork and such.  After Richard's Messiah dress rehearsal this morning and UC's football game at noon, we're going to Lima to save some driving time tomorrow.

Now for some coffee.

Good morning, all! I have little planned today beyond a trek to Toyland. I'm still proofing the Main Report and I need to look at my note pads from 2003 for a 1903 Chicago news headline. Then I'm back here to finish up the Report and, hopefully, assemble everything into a new document. I would like to go to tonight'sperformance of FINIAN'S RAINBOW, and that will depend on how far I get.

That's my day, so I need to get to it.

Good morning!

It's a very gray day here. We had some rain this morning (there was spotty rain during my walk this morning, and I had taken along the umbrella which I used during the last 1/4 of the walk). It's getting colder, too. Below freezing tonight, so brrrr!

With the weekend free of review items, I plan to watch some TV shows and I want to watch THREE STRANGERS from the DVR; I've never seen it before, and the cast is superb, so I'm looking forward to a good movie experience. I love Greenstreet and Lorre in THE VERDICT, and this looks equally as promising. (Joan Lorring is in both of those films, too).

I really need to do some shelf rearranging as I have Blu-ray discs all over the place that need someplace to be filed. Right now, space is tight, but I've got to get this done before I completely run out of room.

I never liked PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE much either. I don't hate it, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again to see if my opinion has changed. A friend loaned me the laserdisc in the 1990s. That's the last time I watched it.

Yes, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA looks very nice on Blu-ray. When I first got my player, I did an A/B comparison with the DVD using the "Masquerade" number as a comparison, and I was astonished at how the DVD, which I thought looked good, was really soft and a bit hazy compared to the sharpness and clarity of the Blu-ray.

I don't find the singing very compelling in the PHANTOM film. Butler and Rossum can carry a tune, but the singing is just there. There isn't much to support it (she's really wan as an expressive singer; she could NEVER have been a prima dona in an opera house with that small voice).
