Went out and had a sandwich and fries and because I was still in a foul mood, had a slice of chocolate mousse cake, which put everything to rights.  Now I'm back and home for the evening and shall finish watching the movie I started last night, after which I'll maybe watch a Blu-Ray of The Grifters from the UK.

DR Cillaliz - I love the desk!

Thanks! I had to check the mail at the office today and stopped up to see the space to visualize the desk there.  The painter was there. Man he got a lot done this morning.  We have a great time talking.  I'm planning to hire him to paint my stairwells at home, but I'm afraid if I'm here all we'll do is talk, lol

Greetings from the northwest side of Lima, OH.  We are settled into our hotel after having a nice dinner at Panera.  We just realized that we can sleep in tomorrow until the time we'd have to leave home  :D

Nice desk DR Cillaliz! I like it! And a bargain to boot!

Thanks MBArnum.  I'm pleased with it.  I can't wait to get into the space and get all this stuff out of my house!

LOL!  He's short, round, older and retired from whatever his former job was.  He does wonderful work and has a fabulously funny personality.  He paints during the fall and winter and then goes to the lake in the late spring and summer and fishes for 3-4 months.  He's just a very fun and interesting person to talk to. I think he and his wife are raising his grandson.  At least he takes his grandson to school every day.

TOD

Don't remember the actor or the role's name, but it was in the stage musical version of Goodbye Girl.  But the character was obviously based on RIchard Simmons and it literally had be laughing so hard it hurt and the rest of the audience felt the same way.

The Actors name was JOHN CHRISTOPHER JONES and the role he played was RICKY SIMPSON

MR BK people like that can become most irate and you don't want to be on COPS, throw it in neutral and rev your engine as you glide by......and toss out a cabbage patch doll from the thrift store......with a noose around its neck.....

Very cold here this evening....at least the 20's.....but the barometer is on the rise, so I don't expect snow.  Tomorrow may be a different story.  I finally decided to add a blanket to my bed.

Late to the game today. Sorry. Ginny, what Dawn Powell is on your reading list? She's a favorite of mine.

Over-the-top performances? Cloris Leachman, Kenneth Mars and Madeleine Kahn in "Young Frankenstein." Divine in the original "Hairspray." Half the cast of "The Women." Edna Mae Oliver in "Pride and Prejudice."

You know Ann Miller in KISS ME KATE....when she was doing her Lois Lane part was pretty darn over the top....but - at least with me - I never really knew if Ann was in on the joke.

I began my evening by watching THREE STRANGERS. A very surprising little picture, and definitely not a feel good movie. These were three pretty desperate people (Geraldine Fitzgerald, Peter Lorre, Sydney Greenstreet) whose hopes are pinned on the Irish Sweepstakes ticket. No mystery at all (like THE VERDICT), but it was a pleasure seeing so many from the Warners stable of character actors.
