I am another who loves IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE. I used to watch it every holiday season when I was a teenager. Oddly enough I have yet to buy the DVD of it and I have not seen the film in at least 10 years, I think.

By the way, little Zsu Zsu lives up in DR George and DR TCB's neck of the woods. The Hollywood Theatre in Portland used to show the film every December and would often have the actress attend the showing.

My question for ASK BK day - what is your favorite current television show?

The only current TV shows I've watched are Lost and Mad Men - of the two, I must say I prefer Mad Men.  While Lost is interesting and I like some of the cast, like Alias before it, the seams are really showing as it goes on.

BK, I must object to your statement about there being no wonderful character actors like in the old  days....there are actually many splendid character actors and actresses, it is just that film makers do not use them like they used to way back when. And that is the disappointing thing.

I'm up - it's currently sixty-two degrees - in the HOUSE.  I have the heat on.

Happy to say that it looks like The Children's Hour will probably be gone by tomorrow morning.

A few shots from Toronto.

Here is a view into the window of a classroom in the Art school that I thought was kind of fun:

Still volunteering. We have accomplished quite a bit since Monday but we still have much more to do.

It's raining although that's supposed to stop by mid-afternoon. It may deter some of our volunteers.

That's it for now.

year after year i enjoyed reading your posts during your volunteer vacation.

Question for Ask BK Day...

If you were made an offer to "return" to a TV series, how would you like to come back?  -As an actor? writer? Or director?

Question for DRs...

Has "The Competition" (Richard Dreyfuss, Amy Irving, Lee Remick) ever been on DVD?  If not, why not?

The Competition is only on VHS as far as I know, DR JOSE.

THE PAGE TURNER was on IFC today.  That is one creepy movie.

In my DREAMGIRLS story, I left out one important fact - my friend the director told me I could remain on the project and he would support me, but strife and conflict are not creative stimuli for me.  And grumbling and rolling of eyes had already become the standard reaction to the work we were doing......the work they kept.

Something about acting in a series would probably tickle me - as long as it was an offer and I didn't have to play the games that people do today to get cast in anything, let alone a series.  But I'd also love to create or executive produce a series (where I had some control) and then I could direct a few episodes, too.

Here's Zach in the Dog Parade (from the Jersey Shore).  You can almost see his little tinsel angel halo, which he managed to keep on.

Oh...

And a for a look at the LED walls - including the Busby Berkeley reference(!?!?):

A NEW LOOK FOR A CLASSIC SHOW

-Even the "spotlights" in the final bit of the video are actually LEDs.

*This is linked from Syesha Mercado's YouTube channel, but I'm guessing this was put together for Broadway.com or possibly the hotel in-room Broadway promo network.

last night was the fist fairly comfortable night i've had since going off the morphine.  i'm tempted to continue the day with extra pain meds.   except for an extra 3rd of a pill i'll take with my 11:00 dose, i won't.  i'm splurging then for my 1st PT appointment.

Amazon says the new FINIAN'S RAINBOW recording will be released on February 2.

I could have told you that. I'm sorry I didn't mention it.
