Today I baked Ginger Snaps from the ready made dough at teh store.  Not as good as home made. I also made the sour cream cookies DR Jane posted.  I like them and think I will like them even more when I haven't already eaten a bunch of cookie dough when I taste them ;)

Wow, just turned on the news and everything is still cancelled.  I actually thought we could have gone to work at noon and just decided not to.  Now I'm thinking that it would have been a bad situation if we had tried.  Who knew

I just caught the tv commercial for FINIAN'S RAINBOW; very strange. I'm glad the producers committed to doing one, though, and I hope it pushes ticket sales.

The COMMERCIAL in question from the Finian's Rainbow On Broadway YouTube channel.

It is an odd commercial, but funny (though Christopher Fitzgerald sounds like he was about to break into "The Transylvania Mania" when he interupted Kate and Cheyenne.)

I also enjoy IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE.  I know I grew up being aware of it but I really don't really remember watching it until I was in high school.  And then, once we had cable installed, it was kind of fun channel-hopping on Christmas Eve and finding the movie playing at several different points.

The one thing I always wondered about: why does Mary wind up as an "old maid"? Wouldn't she have married Sam Wainwright?

Thank you for your nice comments about my mom's home-to-be, DRs George and MBarnum.  I told her I'd move in if she decided she didn't want it!

My favorite part is the horror when he finds out Mary is a librarian.

Naw, if things were good with Sam Wainwright, she wouldn't have ended up with George

WONDERFUL LIFE SPOILERS!!!!!

But Sam Wainwright really is the hero of the movie...he's the one who bails George out at the end...lol which kind of makes me wonder if George didn't do Sam a favor by marrying Mary.

The monarch scientist took me and another butterfly enthusiast (who also had  monarchs in her butterfly garden) out for lunch to thank us for letting her monitor our gardens.

That's all the excitement from here.

nice :)

Speaking of "It's a Wonderful Life," I did a little searching and found that it was based on an unpublished short story called, The Greatest Gift.  Click HERE to read it.  It's quite different from what the movie ended up being.

Thanks for the comments on the photos.  I've had the data card in my camera for weeks, and finally sat down today and forced myself to do all the technical stuff you have to do with them.
