But page twenty - that makes up for it a little. The gist of the post was that I just saw the packaging of a new FSM soundtrack release - I'd written two paragraphs for the booklet about how the release was possible. The studio who owns it asked for the paragraphs to be removed - I said okay, and I was promised they'd appear on the FSM website. I did find it a little offensive that history is not being served but that's the way it is. But when people ask why my name appears as Executive Producer and why the Kritzerland logo appears on the CD, I'll be happy to tell them. Simply put, the release could not have happened without me. The studio had no tapes on the score. I did. Back in the LP days, I'd gotten this score for Varese, but they backed out of doing it because of the high cost of the AFM reuse. But because I'm a smart person, I made a perfect 15ips tape for me, which I've kept in perfect storage all these years. When they heard the tape quality they were blown away. Why this information needs to be suppressed from the booklet has to do with no one wanting to look bad, but, you know, facts are facts.
