I have returned from the NYPL since i am not going down to the theatre this afternoon. I am going tonight with my beloved goddaughter Charlotte to see the show. So I've got things to do here for the nonce.

Speaking of the NYPL, I'm getting good at finding things on the computer but having a bitch of a time finding info in the books the computer tells me lists things on my subjects. Oy!

It looks like DR edisaurus will be staying in NYC for one more night.  I spoke to her this morning, and by that time, she had found out that her flight back to Atlanta tonight had already been cancelled.  -In fact, Jet Blue has already gone ahead and cancelled almost all the flights out of JFK after 2:00 this afternoon, and most of the other airlines have started to follow suit.

Alas, her hotel was already fully-booked this weekend, so she had to check out.  However, she'll be able to crash at Peter's place tonight, if needed, and I also have a sofa-bed here she's welcome to use.  So...

*DR elmore - Peter's place isn't too far from your place, so, depending on when Amy flies out tomorrow... Brunch? Popover? Good Enough To Eat? ;)

Tomorrow's a crazy day for a couple of reasons, and I'm a bit bummed because today would have been perfect. I've got to go to Toyland and use the paper cutter as well as pick up a book, then I've got to run by the St James and drop off Christmas things  before the Men's Chorus concert at Town Hall at 3 pm. :-[

DAW, glad it got there - don't know why this one's taking so long - not one person on the film music board has acknowledged getting it and that includes the many Californians.

BK, it might be the slow up in mail because of the holiday increase.

Great news Jane.   Slow and steady in the rehab is good and very glad to hear you can go longer between pain pills

Thank you cilla and vixmom.  Unfortunately, as I discovered the hard way last night, I must still double the wee morning (4 hours after the bedtime) dose.

thank you daw, jose & penny for your words of encouragement.

The earliest flight I could get on Delta was TUESDAY!

So, I bought another ticket on US Air that goes thru Charlotte on Monday, hoping to be between snowstorms.

Although The Wellington was still full, I was able to get a room for 2 nights at The Edison and can take the subway there, so the only bad thing will be destroying my suede shoes, and I guess I'll just take overnight bags from Peter's. So, there are worse things than spending an extra 2 days working in NY. There still won't be much time for recreation but maybe brunch at Popover???

Mum doesn't know it yet, but, there will be cake after dinner!  As well as cousins kind enough to have bought said cake!  So, it's almost a surprise party. . .
I have a slow-roasted hickory pork tenderloin in the oven, will be making cheddar mashed potatoes (the potatoes are getting ready to boil on the stove) as well as steamed mixed vegetables for our dinner plates.
Dinner at 4:45. . .c'mon over. . .  ;)

Alas, no spare, DR Jane.  Some of my cousins and I ended up sweeping and salting rather than shoveling.
BUT a new shovel will arrive with the birthday cake.  :)

Enjoyed a TV segment on carry-on bags for transporting you dog on an airplane.

Tried to visualize Keith and Jane boarding a plane with Sherlock in a carry-on!

Then visualized Keith and Sherlock boarding a plane with Jane in a carry-on.

The last worked better.

Our little weather island is getting a light snow dusting, but the temp is 36 so it should pile up much. (It better not - Woody is at work until 5 and we have pre-paid tickets for a 6:05 showing of Avatar in 3D.

It is rather nice here today so I get to go on a walk with the guys.  I can’t go to the trails but I can walk here.  We will go a mile ot two.  Walking is easy and I need to stay in shape. the way walking makes my shoulder hurt is not easy, good though is walking doesn’t harm my shoulder as long as I wear the sling.

Yikes DR JANE - THAT is snow.  We are still having snowfall, but not much accumulation.

Miss Blue Moon enjoyed the snow very much - so I hope she has lots of it where she is.
