Our children's nativity was very disorganized this morning. So sad. Not a good impression on the C-E people.

Wouldn't an organized children's nativity be some sort of miracle?

When I came home about 4:30 there were 2 deer in my yard.  they have been eating me out of bird food with great regularity so I finally gave in tonight and bought a deer feed block.  It's more than just salt.  I hate to feed them since I"m in town, but they come to my yard whether there is food or not, so I may as well give them food

Awaiting the arrival of the darling daughter and her friend Skye - we'll go eat something fun as soon as they get here.

:)

Is this an early Christmas visit?

Then I watched THE HANGOVER on Blu-ray. Nutty, farcical, completely enjoyable film. Bradley Cooper is to die for, Ed Helms is a riot, Justin Bartha (from the NATIONAL TREASURE movies) is precious but not in nearly enough of the film.

Scary shots: a couple of stills of Wayne Newton in Vegas which are part of the photographic evidence of their wild night shown at the end of the movie. Forget about any movie monsters. What Wayne Newton has done to himself to stay "young" is the most frightening argument against plastic surgery possible.

Have you seen what used to be Melanie Griffith?

the driver decided that no adults would be allowed on it (even though there was space).

so i had to run beside the train since there is no way i would leave my niece alone on it (she just turned 4).

I laughed out loud at this.  i could see myself doing that.

how silly to take the light weight person off & leave the hefty one.  no wonder there were problems with the train.

Good evening.  Thanks for the vibes. I went out and got salt for the water softener and was feeling better so I went to the baking party.  It was fun.  Jane's sour cream cookies were a hit again.

:)   glad you felt up to the party.

I am home and about to wrap gifts for Ohio. The Men's Chorus concert was such an improvement over last year's and mostly a lot of fun. The Appalachian carols went rather well, although I wish the great Kevin Kuhn had been my guitar soloist. The violinist, Justin Smith, was absolutely wonderful and got a huge ovation at the end. There were too many soloists - four, and I wrote for only two - but the baritone who premiered it in 1985 did a lovely job again on "The Cherry Tree Carol," and I really liked one of the two tenor soloists very much; the second tenor soloist wasn't Wagnerian enough to suit me. He might have been better with a smaller chorus to sing over.

i don't understand why the very young children received exams without a parent present.

I find it especially sad that young parents can not even trust their own Pedicatrian to treat their children kindly.

I wouldn't trust any doctor who called himself a Pedicatrian! Sounds like a weird cult.

Seems strange that there won't be anything on TV tonight for me to watch. DEXTER has concluded its season, and BROTHERS & SISTERS is on its seasonal hiatus.

On the other hand, ABC has been repeating CASTLE episodes on Saturday nights, and since I have the show on SeasonPlay, last night's show was recorded, and will likely be watched either while I eat lunch or at some point today.

How about reading a book? :-)

this is craig's car AFTER the snowplow cleared the parking lot at their apartment building.  he said his car isn't as bad as others.

since he doesn't have a shovel he will have to wait for the snow to melt before driving again.

Well there was really no other choice than to run beside the train. she was already sitting in her seat. I wasn't going to tell her that she had to get off.

They've always let adults on before. And there must have been complaints since 30 minutes after the first ride he let adults on.

It was a crazy rule. Who is going to let their small child ride a train alone?

And actually when the train stopped working (the 2nd time she went on it a couple of hours later). There was one small child (less than 4) who was on the train alone. And the driver was like, "can someone take him back to where the train starts"

Now there were only 3 mothers on the train with their small kids. but can you imagine. The driver was going to let someone else bring the kid back to his dad.

He ended up having the 4 adults get off the train (except him) and the 3 little kids rode for the rest of the way. Since the train was not working too fast i could just walk. The other time i had to run.

I braved Target for a Secret Santa gift.  Got it.  (also got two blu-rays for myself).

If it is a gift for a Secret Santa; how will you know who to give it to?

Don't ask, don't tell.

THE HANGOVER is one of those comedies which I thought I would hate, but ending up really liking it.  I mean REALLY liking it.  It's a great little comedy.

DR CILLA LIZ it sounds like you had fun.  Glad you are feeling better!

DR JENNIFER AND THE RUNAWAY TRAIN sounds like a children's book.

I like all of the guys in THE HANGOVER - but I have a terrible memory of that Dead Hooker in Vegas movie or whatever it was.  Maybe I need to see THE HANGOVER so I can forget it.

Well, the next problem coming up is we are supposed to have a snow storm starting that will be the worst on Wednesday, the day I'm supposed to drive home.  I have a hearing Wednesday morning, so I'm pretty much stuck here until after that.  Haven't decided if I'll try to get the hearing moved or just wait and see what happens. Think I'll make some phone calls in the am and see if people are willing to wait until after Christmas

DR MICHAEL S - I received my October 1958 TV GUIDE....again no mention of anything on the ABC network that might be a pilot of BARBARY COAST - at least in the Pennsylvania area the magazine is from.  I looked at each night knowing that sometimes films were delayed, but still nothing.

The only show scheduled on ABC that night from the schedule you found was ANYBODY CAN PLAY....so it is still a mystery.

as in snow fights?  no snow fights.  when we called they were about to take yogi to play in the snow, then they were going to begin putting together the large puzzle craig gave ioana.  they did joke doing the puzzle together could lead to the downfall of their marriage.
