Whew!  That took entirely too long to get accomplished.  Time for sleep

They won't leave my bird food alone so today I bought a deer block...they are supposed to love it.  They sniffed it and went straight to the bird food. Go figure

Let's try again.

This is what I saw when I looked outside.  The deer eating from the bird feeder is a little hard to see. She wouldn't stand still for her photo op

Nice picture of the three deer.  The other one...not so much. ;)

Good evening.  Thanks for the vibes. I went out and got salt for the water softener and was feeling better so I went to the baking party.  It was fun.  Jane's sour cream cookies were a hit again.

It all sounds wonderful!  Today, I went to my sister's house for a pre-Christmas family get-together.  My niece made some vegan banana-oatmeal cookies that were really very good!  Otherwise, we had vegetarian nachos.  My sister gets this vegan textured crumble that's a meat-replacement product and it's actually pretty good.  You use it just like crumbled (and cooked) ground beef.  You definitely can tell the difference, but as its own food item, it's not bad at all.

...I lost power for a time (I don't know how long).

You must remind your date to plug you in before turning you on.

Today, I went to my sister's house for a pre-Christmas family get-together.

An IKEA assembling party?

Your must add the key ingredient - squirrel food; the deer will eat the bird food, the birds will eat the squirrel food, and the squirrels will eat the deer food - works for me!

DR vixter - I hope you were/are able to enjoy your own personal "Winter Wonderland".  -And it was good to read that the vixdad got your tree out of the garage and up in your house where it belongs.

Tonight's presentation of all six of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos by the "Symphony Space All-Stars" was quite nice.  This was the first time I've ever heard all six of them in one sitting, live or otherwise, and it turned out to be not so daunting an evening as I thought it would be.  -I do think there could be such a thing as "too much Bach" in one sitting.

Since they used a very small ensemble - usually just one player per part - the textures and counterpoint were very clean and clear.  They closed with No. 5, and not only was it fun to listen to, but it was also fun to watch.  You could literally see the melodic line being passed from one instrument/player to the next.  I also got a kick out of hearing the second one featuring an E-flat clarinet in place of the usual trumpet.

As for "The Hangover"...

Yes... It needed more Justin Bartha. :)

And I would never call it a "small comedy". ;)
