This is the second time Amazon has put that huge PLANET OF THE APES Blu-ray box on sale for that price, and for fans of the movies, it's well worth it for the wonderful transfers, that nice enclosed book, and deluxe packaging. A real bargain, but if you only want the first film, I guess it would be a waste of money.

I'm back from a simply wonderful dinner and present exchange. I got some Blu-ray discs I wanted and some Best Buy gift cards I will use with great pleasure. A delightful evening.

Instead of the usual holiday film, we watched the Saturday Night Live clip special from a few days ago which he had his DVR record but which none of us had watched. I haven't watched the show in decades, so I was only familiar with two or three of the dozens of skits. Some were hilarious; others much less funny. But I'm glad I saw it.

Now I can find the time over the next few days to watch MR. MAGOO and HOLIDAY INN on my own. I like my home theater set-up better anyway, and my Blu-ray players upconvert the image so they're going to look better also.

I suppose tomorrow (to get it out of the way), I will work on the Blu-ray of 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU. I've never seen this movie, so seeing Heath Ledger so young and appealing will be both wonderful and sad, I suspect.

Matt Zarley didn't sing many of the notes that Indiana's Own Cole Porter wrote for that song.

I think it's time to head downstairs and go to bed. Ah, tomorrow. No shopping, no appointments, no need to leave the house (except for my morning walk). Bliss!

Good night!

I think I'm finally relaxing.  I'm in my room and little Phoebe the cat is curled up sleeping next to me.  She's a doll, but such a tiny ball of fur.

think I'll call it a night.  My dad has a doctor appointment in the morning, so we're hoping the roads will be ok to get him there and my mom in for her hair appointment.  I'm just glad to be away and to know my cats are ok.  I may call the cat sitter and tell her to leave a big bowl of food out just in case she can't get there during the blizzard.

I think his shirt was too constricting. I think his voice might have been better if he'd have removed the shirt.

I finished watching a very enjoyable motion picture on Blu and Ray and then went to Gelson's and now have everything I need for the Do except rolls - they didn't have the kind I normally get, so I'll probably go to a bakery early on Thursday morning.

I also was starving so I got a tiny thing of potato salad and a tiny thing of oriental chicken salad from the Gelson's deli.

And of course I first learned about RED CLIFF from MR BK's writings about here at HHW.  And I am sure that is where Lurker 3D CONFUSION heard about it too.  One guest....we will see if it's the human H1N1 virus who is lurking this evening.

When have I ever mentioned Red Cliff? Why bring my name up in connection with it? Has someone in another forum been blasting BK over his opinion of it?  Too funny.

Thanks for all the attention, guys, I'm loving it.

He recorded a cd for that other label a few years back. At that time I ask the same thing as I had never heard of him

Bruce, I know that several DRs have asked you to ban A Certain Lurker and I know you have had your reasons not to, but would you reconsider it? This person is Most Unpleasant, as you well know, and only seems to come here to cause trouble.

a) I have not spoken of Red Cliff elsewhere, so sorry to burst your bubble.  b) I warned you if you made one more post about me you would be done here - therefore, you are done here.  Enjoy THAT attention.

Jeanne read my mind, and since the dear sweet girl annoys just about everyone here, it's bye bye diffusion or, to put it another way, 3D is on the way out.  Oh, and kiss my ASS.

I have instigated the ban - hoping I did it right - if not, I'll do it again via her ip address.

Hopefully it's the end of an obsession.  I've never really seen anything like it.  Following me to other boards, creating other names to cause problems on those boards - some good therapy might help.  I must have said something once that didn't make the dear girl happy - oh, well.  What's "too funny" is the desperate need to come here every day, read every post, and continually bash the host of the site.  Well, it's either "too funny" or pathetic and one suspects the latter.  And that's the end of that.

Good Evening!

I'm back from The Met...

The singing was pretty much first rate tonight - at least to my ears.  I was particularly impressed - and, to be honest, somewhat surprised - with Felicity Palmer as Klytemnestra.  I never knew she had that in her. Sadly, the casting of Aegisth was another bit of "throw away" casting by The Met.

Alas, the staging was/is pretty underwhelming, more than bordering on boring. And although it helped the singers to be heard over the orchestra, having most of the solos and duets sung from center stage in a nod to the old-fashioned "plant and sing" style, didn't really help the momentum of the evening.  But, again, it was nice to hear the score nicely sung, and it's sort of hard to complain when the ticket was free.

My friend, Bradley, met up with me after the opera, and we headed down to Landmarc in the Time-Warner Center for a late dinner.  We split an order of their "moules frites" made with chorizo and onion - YUM!  *And cotton candy flavor of the day was "banana". :)

And now... Well...

I'm trying to decide whether I should take an hour or two to take care of some cleaning and organizing, or if I should just go to bed shortly, and take care of said cleaning and organizing before I hop on the bus tomorrow afternoon down to Richmond.  -And I'm also thinking that instead of staying the whole week down in Richmond between Christmas and New Year's, I may just head back up here on Sunday or Monday, and then head back down to Richmond on Wednesday night.  We shall see.
