Well, I learned the CD of "E Y Harburg Revisitwed" was titled "Hold Onto Your Hats," which may be why I never bothered picking it up. If any DR has the CD, please let me know.

According to my own personal list I have this CD. I won't be able to get to it until Saturday or Sunday when we get back to the City. Here is the Web site for Painted Smiles which lists Hold on to Your Hats as a complete score. It's No. 120 on the list.

Painted Smiles Ben Bagley CDs

The following numbers and performers appear on the CD:

Hold On To Your Hats (Complete Score)

Tammy Grimes, Carleton Carpenter, Blossom Dearie, Helen Gallagher, E.Y. Harburg, Patrice Munsel; Arthur Siegel, Ann Hampton Callaway, Ali Robertson, William Cantor

Songs: Opening Numbers (Opening / Hold On to Your Hats / Way Out West / Then You Were Never in Love / Hold On to Your Hats Reprise); Walking Along Minding My Business; Would You Be So Kindly; Life Was Pie for the Pioneer; The World is In My Arms; She Came, She Saw, She Can-Canned; Old Timer; Don't Let It Get You Down; Finale (Down on the Dude Ranch / There's a Great Day Coming Manana); Fancy Meeting You; Moon About Town; Sing the Merry; Where Have We Met Before?; Showgirl Couplets; Poor Whippoorwill; Saroyan; The Silent Spring; Goodnight Mrs. Calabash; Santa Claus; Prairie Love Song (The Enchanted Clock); I'm Not Myself; A Change of Sky

DR Ben to the rescue! I don't know why I never see Ben Bagley's Painted Smiles CDs in used bins. They all appear to be in limbo now since the death of  Jack Holmes, who took over the operation when Ben died.

Back from the jog to the mail place, which I calculate at around two miles, maybe a teeny bit more.  I had a few packages and am now almost all caught up with package delivery.  One of the packages includes my brand spanking new Kiss My ASS t-shirt.

Take a picture!

Well, I need to be going now.  I have to take a shower, get dressed, wrap some presents, pick up my niece from her father's mother's house, pick up my sister from her house and we're all going to our parents' house for our annual Christmas eve do.  We'll do all our gift giving and receiving tonight.  Tomorrow will be a day of resting and eating...and that's about it. :)

HAVE A WONDERFUL AND MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE DAY, EVERYONE!!!!

I am seeing no pictures in either DAW's post or George's followup.

Now I don't, either!     :(

Too bad it was a rare, priceless, never-otherwise-to-be-obtained candid of FF!

We both have to perform Christmas Eve services tonight.  Meaning that we won't arrive at our place of family celebration until after 3:00 AM.         :(

Same here, except that I don't have to perform tonight. And, well, the church is around the corner, so I'll be home right after it's over.

I have sauteed and am now simmering.  Perhaps I'll watch a motion picture on Blu and Ray whilst the simmering occurs.

I rarely see Bagley CDs in used bins either. It's really frustrating because there are some I don't have and others that I have burned that I would like to replace with regular copies.

I only have 3 or 4 of the Ben Bagley CDs.  It's frustrating, because I would purchase all of them if they were available, but they're not and you can't.

;D

I think perhaps that Laura DR has already imbibed too much of her once-a-year eggnog.           ;)

Hello, everyone.

Cilla, that is by far the best snow angel I've ever seen! It really looks like an angel.

DAW, I, too, liked the poem. And the photo with it was quite beautiful.

Mike, I've had many ailing pets over the years. Many have lived much longer than anyone expected. I hope that you and Bosco have many good times yet to come.

Sauce is simmering away - not quite there yet - I just keep seasoning until it tastes the way I like.  Less than three hours to the Do.  Just had a cancellation, so really have no idea how many will or will not be here.

DR JOSE has so many careers in him. In addition to pianist and food photographer, I do think he could make a living just by his many prizes.  Congrats, Jose!

Maybe they're going to the neighbor's party?

Well it was a toss-up.  Either suffer from this back pain for another four and a half hours until I got home from church; or take a pill and skip church.

I'm skipping church.

Hi, Jeff

I'm thinking it was the reviewer BK accused of being a plagiarist.

Love your website, by the way.

Look who's back! And how are the holidays at the Bates Motel?

I think I forgot to check stuff off when I originally did the ban - I tried to unban and do it again, but couldn't figure out how, but have now added username, IP address, and host name and e-mail.  Hopefully that will do the trick.  I suppose we'll find out.  I think I'll go try on my kiss my ASS shirt.
