I recorded last night's NCIS rerun, so that's likely what I'll watch while I eat lunch. They're always fun to revisit. I just hope it's an episode from this season since I'm making my way back through last season's episodes now from the DVD box set.

Well, I have a different reaction to the two KILL BILL films. I admire them both, but they're SO different from each other, and I really preferred the less frenetic pace and depth of feel of the second one. When I want to watch KILL BILL, I always go for part II first.

I'm not a Tarantino groupie. I haven't seen everything he's done (have never watched RESERVOIR DOGS, for instance), and I was repelled by PULP FICTION when I first saw it. (I suspect it wouldn't be so shocking to me now having seen much of his oeuvre.)

But INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS impressed me from the get-go, and for me it's his best movie by far.

The only Tarantino movie that I didn't like was his GRINDHOUSE contribution.  Absolutely boring!

If UP IN THE AIR does not win the Best Picture Oscar, I would like to see it go to INGLORIOUS BASTERDS.

Sounds like MR BK has a busy day.  I don't have much to do, since I can't update the theatre website until the webmaster does some tweaking on the tabs and pages.....which someone is working on......I have been told.

Perhaps my Yakuza films will arrive today.

Just finished reading DANGEROUSLY FUNNY - the account of the trials and tribulations of The Smothers Brothers Show.  Interesting - hopefully it won't be made into a TV movie.

The laundry is finished, the bathroom floor mopped and the rest of the apartment vacuumed. I have to wrap Josh's debut gift and do a bit of work on my Sanford and Langey biographies before I head out.

Yesterday I made two pots of soup with the goose carcasses - it looks really fine!! I think I'll have some for lunch today. I keep unintentionally referring to said concoction as Duck Soup - probably in tribute to the film which I have loved watching many times.

Okay - so here's a question for BK: have you ever eaten a goose??

Question for BK:  with there being ten slots for Best Picture in this year's Oscar race, which schlock release do you think might be able to find its way into being nominated?

The UPS truck pulled up right alongside my house, and I was sure that was signalling the arrival of the Fox Blu-rays and GLEE, but, nope. He walked right past my front door.

So, looks like a day off for me! Means I'll be able to enjoy the (hopefully) hot reconcilliation scene between Kyle and Oliver today on ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

I checked the timing for CHE, DR Jose. Each film runs 129 minutes making a total of 4 hours, 18 minutes, so I guess it ISN'T close to five hours after all.

Thanks for checking, DR MattH.  Although, now that I think of it, I guess I'm remembering the running time that was listed for the "roadshow engagement" which included the intermission.

Again, I haven't cracked open the box yet, but it appears from the quick glance I gave it that in addition to the two movies, there's another disc of bonus material. So, this is going to take me at least two days of work to do everything. One day to watch both parts (afternoon and evening installments, I suspect). And then a separate day on the bonus features, similar to the way I approached 8 1/2.

I had a great flight back (and SUPER service in 1st Class).

Slept...watched the movie "All About Steve" (don't waste your money on DVD...watch on HBO or other premium channel...or wait for network broadcasts).

Got in early, got home reasonably soon after.  Unpacked.  Caught up on e-stuff.  Drove my car to market for some groceries.  Returned and ate a couple of sandwiches.  Watched a little TV and was ready for bed by 8:30 p.m.

Slept well...got up at 5:30 a.m. and have been doing e-stuff ever since.

Need coffee.  Need food.  Need a NAP!

I reviewed ALL ABOUT STEVE on Blu-ray last week. Truly terrible. Probably my least favorite Sandra Bullock performance ever.

Now, I guess I'll finish up some computer stuff here and then head down, rewatch a MENTALIST episode, get some lunch prepared, and then start on leisure viewing this afternoon.

But...I thought Thomas Haden Church was very good in it.  He's a terrific actor.
