I thought they were rereleasing THE JUDY GARLAND SHOW DVDs.

Infinity has re-released Volume 1 but it's not the same as the original Pioneer Arts release and I haven't seen anything beyond Volume 1. I've been looking but all I see (and all we have) from Infinity is Volume 1

DR Ben, I just checked on Amazon and there is a Vol 2 from Infinity.  I just might order these myself along with THE MAMA CASS SHOW pilot http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002C7ELR2/ref=pd_luc_sim_01_03

Sometimes, BK, when I am reading your notes, I feel like you are writing them just for me.  I suppose that sounds really egotistical, but actually it is more of a nod to your writing style.  So many of your notes this year, especially the ones about your early career, were really knockouts.  So, I couldn't be happier about the announcement for book Number 10.  I can't wait to read every page.

I've been sitting around the house all morning singing (if one could call it that) the entire OCR of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC to myself without the benifit of playing the actual recording.  It's amazing that I know that thing inside and out the way I do.

Now where was I?  Where was I? Oh, yes!...

There was a time when I could do just the same thing.  -And there was even a time when I could basically play and sing the whole score to Sunday in the Park with George from memory, by "heart".  -And that included all the various parts/lines in "Putting It Together".  Today... Well... Not so much. I'm lucky if I can remember the opening measures of each song in those scores.

I never completely mastered SUNDAY--that score is tough, lyricly.

Well, if you can still sing through "Now, Soon, Later" - Bravo!

I had a feeling that FINIAN'S was not going to have a long run, but I am still utterly disappointed in its closing notice, and I send love and regrets to DR Elmore.

But how can that gosh-awful BYE BYE BIRDIE still be going strong, while FINNIAN'S RAINBOW (with great reviews) is closing?

Okay, I'm going to get myself ready for tonight's festivities.  The party I'm going to won't actually start until 9:00 so I'm going to meet up with a few people and wander through the streets of Haddonfield beforehand.  None of us know if they are doing a First Night there or not but it's a fun place to stroll through and window shop.

Hopefully this code doesn't expire soon.  I've actually downloaded the 2-part pilot episode of "Stargate: Universe" (for free!) and it's pretty cool.  If this is free too, I'll try it tonight. :)

The original Promises will always be of interest to collectors - but the big complaint always is how pitchy the singing is from Mr. Orbach, and I'm just interested in finally setting that right, as well as releasing the original mix for the first time on CD, as well as doing a state of the art remix.

I recall seeing PROMISES, PROMISES at the Ahumnson Theater back in the late 1960s or early 70s (whenever the National Company came through Los Angeles), but I don't recall who played the lead.

I don't think it was Orbach.  Could it have been Tony Roberts?

Anybody know?

Anthony Roberts and Melissa Hart - 1970

A very interesting website.  My favorite entry is 1954's PETER PAN starring Syril Ritchard and Marty Martin.

Thanks, Jose.  One of my resolutions is fewer bad puns in 2010, so I'm getting them out of my system now.  :)

I do not have New Years Eve plans this year. My sister invited me over for dinner with she and hubby's friends, but I declined. Don't feel like driving to Aumsville and I think crashing on the couch with my perky pooch and petulant pussy seems like a fine idea for the evening.

...however, if I feel the urge I might grocery shop.

The meeting with the producer was interesting - she's a bit of a kookie gal, but has, I think, a good heart and knows the current world of TV.  We talked about a few things - she really loves the books and wants to protect them, and that I like.  She's very keen to sell them and has a ton of energy and passion for them, and she has my blessing.   She asked me about writers and actors I like.

And you mentioned my name?

TOD:

My wishes for 2010, besides world peace and free healthcare for all, is to complete a big project that I began this year, and to start some projects that I have been thinking about starting. I also hope to have another great year with Dog Bosco and that the vet's diagnosis is way off.
