Well, you've read the notes, the notes had images of liverwurst, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they think liverwurst is the wurst.

1776, although not set in a courtroom, plays out like a courtroom drama (musical). ;)

Congratulations to DR PENNYO on her accolades.

I concur with DR CP that the Lawrence Tierney DILLINGER is pretty bad - although I think it mostly suffers from its low budget - and the fact that a lot of the people involved were still alive so compromises had to be made - or people invented for the story.

Warren Oates was a good Dillinger....Johnny Depp COULD have been.

Of course it is Saturday, even though it doesn't feel like Saturday.  And it is a work day.

I love a good courtroom drama.

WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION
TWELVE ANGRY MEN (Do jury rooms count?)
THE VERDICT (Paul Newman version)
THE COURT-MARTIAL OF BILLY MITCHELL
MY COUSIN VINNY

I was also a big fan of L.A. LAW and BOSTON LEGAL (until it got too silly).

Last night DR Cillaliz wrote:

I tried to watch Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin but she drives me nuts and I could care a less about whether she swears or whether she has to pay money back or really anything else about her.  I didn't find her funny at all.  I gave up and turned off the TV and took a nice hot bath.  I did watch Carson Daly for the countdown in central time

I think if you don't like her then you will not enjoy watching her with Anderson Cooper.

I really like her. And although i don't watch him on CNN often, I see him a lot when he fills in for Regis, and i like him a lot. So i think the two of them together are hilarious.

Interestingly enough i came across a survey asking if people thought they were funny, or irritating. I was expecting it to be half and half. But it was like 90% for funny.

It's interesting to read about the cold that DRs Dakota and Cillaliz are facing.

I guess it's not so cold here. We often have a windchill of -20 but that is Celsius. I can't even imagine how cold -40F is.

Saturday morning greetings!  It's sunny but ver-r-r-ry cold here in SW Ohio today.  I just wrote my first check of the new year and remembered to date it 2010.

And my mom used to complain about the humidity when it hit 12% - then she moved to southern Ohio...

Good morning, all! I slept way too late but I was having a fascinating dream about Goodspeed, a lousy apprentice, an unhappy oboe player, a request for photocopies of music from "The Day Before Spring," but the music dept had moved into a new office building and I had to deal with an awful office manager, poor lighting and a funky new elevator as well. And I think my Mother was in the dream, too. Oy!

I need to have a phone conversation with Joshie this morning about this act we have to do ASAP, and then I have work on OH BOY! and LADY OF THE SLIPPER before I run down to West 52nd Street around 4:45 pm to meet DR vixmom and The Vixter after RAGTIME. That's my day.

Good morning!

We're beginning our deep freeze for the next five days or so. It was 25 this morning but will be dipping into the teens for the next four days. This is VERY cold for the South, and I'm not looking forward to these mornings.

Today I'll begin my next work project - the half season box set of GLEE which I am really looking forward to revisiting. I could actually write the review now, but I'll restrain until I've gone back through the episodes again. There are a host of bonus features, some repeated from the previous release of the extended pilot episode and some new ones.

It's a four-disc set.

All the talk of writing here probably instigated my strange dream last night.  In it, I was somehow an established author and I was reading a review of my recently published novel in a newspaper.  And I was angry that the reviewer wrote that the book was a rip-off of Alfred Hitchcock's SHADOW OF A DOUBT.  And I woke up because I started storming through my living room and tearing up the place looking for my cordless phone.

As strange as it was, I like this dream very much.  The only frustration is not remembering what my supposed novel was about other than that it was supernatural in content.  And that I had written it on a ridiculously huge laptop that sat ontop of my sewing machine table.

I have a few computer maintenance things to finish up, and then I'll head down to rewatch another MENTALIST episode and then start on GLEE. Lunch will also part of the process.
