Good morning!

I'm hoping this is our last morning of super cold weather at least for a while. It was 15 this morning. My heat (even on 60) has been running almost constantly, though it will warm into the high 30s today and then allegedly 24 tomorrow morning. I may be able to strike off on my walks again tomorrow morning. I am very tired of the treadmill.

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face. Not only did I sleep about an hour later than usual, I also knew I had the day off. I am SO happy to be able to have today to just dive into some fun discs without a notepad in my lap.

Yes, CHUCK has two episodes tonight back-to-back, and then begins its real third season in its regular Monday at 8 timeslot tomorrow night. I will watch the first hour tonight, but I won't make the second hour or the new BROTHERS & SISTERS which will be recorded and watched later.

BIG LOVE (which I don't watch) starts its new season tonight, and many Sunday night regulars (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, COLD CASE, the Fox cartoons) have new episodes.

THE SIMPSONS, of course, has its 450th episode tonight celebrating 20 years on the air.

At least this bitter cold we've been having for two weeks has been dry. No rain and no real precipitation to make it a real mess. That's been the good news. (And, of course, the heating companies who have gotten rich off the many service calls to folks whose furnaces have conked out due to overuse.)

I have last night's CASTLE rerun to watch while I eat lunch. I also plan to watch a couple more ROME episodes as well as some fun movies this afternoon and this evening (prior to CHUCK's season premiere).

BK, since you're listening to all that Miklos Rozsa music, does that mean we might hope Krtizerland will be releasing some of it?  Or is this a fifteen CD box set already out? Dr. Rozsa is my favourite composer, bar none.

Pogue, the set is still available - pricey at about 190 bucks, but it's 15 hugely-long CDs of Rozsa stuff from MGM.  Ivanhoe, Madame Bovary, Young Bess, The Power, The VIPS, King of Kings, El Cid, and lots of other rare stuff.

I haven't sent it yet, but i've drafted my resignation letter. On a happier note I've begun helping my friend Joseph on a restoration of a very rare turn-of-the-century musical. I'm now mentoring two musical theatre stars of the next generation and very happy about it.

It sounds like I got a lot of this stuff in some form or another already.

I've moved 8 boxes of books to the office, had breakfast out, met with Paul (his mom is in the hospital) took a crowbar to the ice dam on my roof from the upstairs windows until I lost the crowbar when I dropped it off the roof and it fell in a snowbank, dug a path to the front door so I can get it open again, found the deer block under about 8 inches of snow, fed the birds and squirrels and made lunch and we're still on page 2?
