I left work early 'cause my blood sugar was all out of whack and I felt awful. I took a nice nap and have been watching some old Kane Richmond movies and episodes of NORTHWEST PASSAGE.

I still don't feel so hot, but I have been entertained.

TABATHA spoiler

This really seemed like it was one of the friendlier episodes in terms of things being wrong to begin with.  Well, so far anyway.

I don't think world will stop turning if Leno gets the tonight show back and O'brian quits

There is show however where the world will stop turning but that won't happen until September

I did not watch SOUTHLAND when it was on NBC, but I do remember seeing Ben McKenzie in THE OC.  I am curious.  He is a nice looking kid, but did he ever learn to act?  On THE OC is character was pretty painful to watch.

DR TCB, I had never seen Ben McKenzie before, but I think he is stupendous in SOUTHLAND.

Good, then I assume he has improved.  Either that or DR MBarnum is imaging what Mr. McKenzie will look like in 50 years.

This has probably been posted here before (if so, my apologies), but I found it very amusing.

I think I would freak out if i saw a deer in my backyard!

I grew up in a house that is sort of in the woods on the edge of town, so I'm used to animals around. My mother not only fed them, but named them all - Chippy Squirrel, Jenny Wren, Bambi and Babe the deer twins etc

I never saw the OC, but he's surrounded by pros on SOUTHLAND, and some of their expertise must have rubbed off. He holds his own with them. It a very fine police show, but I'm not interested in seeing the first seven episodes that have previously aired (even with unaired scenes). The shows are intense and gritty; I'd rather rejoin the show once the six new shows start airing.

When I went downstairs I plucked WONDER BOYS off the DVD shelf. I have been seeing it airing at various times on several of the Showtime channels, and knowing that I had the DVD but hadn't watched it in years, I decided tonight I wanted to see it again. Such a fun, quirky movie. Curtis Hanson directed with some flair, and Robert Downey Jr. and Tobey Maguire are a darling couple. I didn't even mind Katie Holmes in the movie. There are some really talented actors in small roles (like Philip Bosco and Kelly Bishop and Richard Thomas).

Then I watched the making-of documentary for EASTER PARADE since that second disc in the set was still in the other player. A good 30-minute summary on the production. Strange that they didn't mention that it was the Oscar for music scoring, the first of three in a row for Roger Edens.

Then I watched last night's CHUCK episode. There was the difference between night and day in last night's show and Sunday night's double feature. Entertaining and completely non-irritating. All the things I despised about Sunday's shows (the silly BuyMore characters, Chuck's preoccupation over his love for Sarah to the detriment of the mission) were missing and it made for a terrific episode.

The ending was a shock, but then the previews put that to right.

spoiler - - - -

If they had killed off Captain Awesome and retained those idiotic BuyMore guys in the cast, this was going to be the LAST episode of the show I ever watched. Now that Chuck has a kindred spirit who knows what he's up to, the show is IMMEASURABLY better with someone he can talk over his troubles with and explain his absences: in other words, someone who has his back on the home front. That's the BEST innovation they've added to the new season.

Then I watched tonight's NCIS episode. I guessed the ending of the mystery, but I did very much enjoy Robert Wagner's interaction with the various members of the team. And I did find it completely believable that he was Tony's father.

An entertaining episode of the show. I'll bet it scored a BIG rating tonight, even with the premiere of AMERICAN IDOL opposite it.

We have at least FIVE deer who regularly come into the yard for meals.  We have a trough hewed out of a log which we put corn into as well as scattering some onto the ground.  The does usually appear first with the youngsters, followed closely by the buck.  Our deer approach anytime around 3pm and as late as after midnight.  I can't get a good photo through the kitchen window though.  The deer come quite close to Dixie Bell's fence and they are tentative friends - Dixie doesn't chase them and they eye her warily.
