For a long time my phone number was 234-5567.  As you might imagine, I got lots of prank calls from kids.  I loved it when Caller ID came to Portland.  Kids started getting prank calls from me (to their parents).  :)

Hello, everyone.

I have been looking for an apartment. I am exhausted. I may even be brain dead; at this point I can't tell.

I have not caught up on the posts.

That is all.

My license plate has PWK in it.  My mother looked at it and said "Puke!  Your license plate says Puke!!" I told her it was a "w" but she was too busy laughing

That is funny!  I think the first thing that I would've thought of is Michele PaWK.

Yup, I'm gay. ;D

Contrary to popular rumor, I have not fallen off the face of the earth, been kidnapped by gypsies or run away and joined the Foreign Legion…

Fourteen months ago I had my work hours reduced and was in fear of losing my job.

So far in the past 13 days, in the middle of a recession and a real estate market that is reportedly dead and an era of “tight money” our little law firm closed more loans than we closed in all of October and November 2008.

I should be dancing for joy, but being the miserable, whining, whiney thing that I am,  I am grouchy and grumbly and miserable about day after day of 11 – 14 hour work days with  no breaks (unless you count a quick run to the ladies or a few bites of sandwich between phone calls)

So while I love and miss you all I just have not been able to face sitting in front of a computer for another second once I get home.

I have been listening quite a bit to Love With a Perfect Stranger as I have discovered that I can play cds on my new work computer without stalling the system.

So what’s new with all of you??

We are leaning toward accepting the counter, but with the caveat that all the "extras" in the house are included, meaning the two HDTV's, the appliances (new refrigerator and those cool front loading washer/dryer units), pool table & tanning bed.  Yes, there is a tanning bed.  ;)

can I come live with you?

RE: license plates

If someone is picky re: letters and numbers can't you just choose your own license plate?

I wish I had realized the IDOL was gonna be 1 hour and a half tonight. My tv picked it up. But I didn't know to tell others it was going long.

Although here it started at 7:30pm (Fox had it from 8-9:30pm).  Gosh at the end of the first half hour they showed a girl (a blonde country girl from Tennessee). For some reason her story made me so teary! I really like her.

Did we ever get a theater report from either Kerry or Sandra?

I got a report.

I began my evening watching ROSALIE from the Warner Archive collection. What a mammoth musical it is! Thousands of extras, all those costumes and very elaborate sets! Wow!

And I think this is one of Nelson Eddy's more animated performances. Eleanor Powell does her own singing (one song) in this one, and it's a small, uncertain singing voice.

YES, POOR VIXMOM.  It is illegal not to give you breaks.  of course i would also skip my breaks to go home sooner.  it is a shame your boss doesn't hire a temp, or two.  i'm sure there are plenty of experienced people who need work.

The ROSALIE DVD looks very good for a made-on-demand disc. And the sound is much less hissy and crackly than on other Archive releases.

I bide my time until I could watch MODERN FAMILY sans commercials, I put in the BONES Blu-ray from last season and watched two episodes.

The first was the one where the girl was found in the cardboard box having been run over. Enjoyed seeing this one again.

If I hadn't liked my license plate I already had a personalized one ready to get.  But I was lucky.  Another fun thing is if you sound the letter together, KST, you get kissed and I intend to whenever I feel like it.

The second one was one of the show's infrequent efforts at a lighter, wackier story as the team steals a body from a wake and tries to figure out who killed the person since the coroner had ruled it a coronary. Really pushed the bounds of silliness with the episode, but I don't mind the show taking a detour every once in a while.

Vixmom, so good to see you.  I echo that you should be given breaks.  Are breaks not allowed or do you feel compelled to work that hard because there is so much work to be done and deadlines for all of it?

MODERN FAMILY wasn't as hysterical as last week's episode, but it was very good. All three stories made me laugh. The cast is so good together.

the latter... it just impossible to keep up with everything  and it is all time sensitive  - it is hard to sit down and eat your lunch when your stomach is in knots about what you are not doing that very second
