I couldn't believe it! At 6:15 this evening, there came a knock at my door, and it was the UPS man. Bringing me, yep, FAME and (the unexpected) POST GRAD. So now I have two choices for my work project tomorrow. I'll likely do POST GRAD since it's a shorter movie and as I'll be having lunch out tomorrow with friends, my afternoon viewing time is cut by 45 minutes or so.

I'm going to do a little computer desktop maintenance, and then I'll be heading downstairs and putting myself to bed.

Good night!

I came home from NY with a huge list of changes and just finished yesterday in time for a festival deadline. We hope to premiere the film at the Full Frame Festival, where we've premiered our last two films. I have never submitted a rough cut before, I don't really like sending anything out at that stage. But once I was able to submit to FF, the producer decided to submit the rough cut to a ton of festivals, So I ended up having to make 30 DVDs and send a bunch out to other festivals. Oh well..

One festival is in Portland and another in Seattle, so maybe I can get a trip or two out of it. I miss the pacific northwest!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes, DR Vixmom!  It's not 'til Sunday, so I hope we see you again before then.

Yay!

I did see FINIANS when I was up on the previous trip right before Christmas. (The trip in which I thought I'd never get home!) I loved it!

I think I have to return to City Bakery for hot chocolate. I think that was the most heavenly thing ever. There's nothing like that in Atlanta. Probably a good thing...

YES, POOR VIXMOM.  It is illegal not to give you breaks.  of course i would also skip my breaks to go home sooner.  it is a shame your boss doesn't hire a temp, or two.  i'm sure there are plenty of experienced people who need work.

We get a 15 minute break for every four hours that we work, and if we work more than five and a half hours, we are supposed to take a non-paid lunch break.  The official policy that we MUST take breaks and/or lunch time (when appropriate).  We cannot skip them to leave early. :P

DR vixmom - Thanks for checking in.  I at least hope that your weekends are a bit less hurried, harried and hectic.  Breathe and take care of yourself.

I just got lost in Matthew'sw DP's cake site..... I MUST show those to the Vixter - she and I became very caught up with watching those Amazing Wedding Cakes (and why o why doesn't DP have one?!)shows last year when I was home bound and she has been hankering to rty some cake decorating herself.

She received a cake decorating book for Christmas and has been reading it from cover to cover

I was sorry to read about BK's fall --  and glad to hear no permanent damage occurrred

I had a fall myself the other day - I slipped in shower - one minute I was stepping in the shower and the next I was In a world of pain with no idea how I got from one state to the other - my fall woke the Vixter from a sound sleep (the shower is next to her room )  and she came running - fortunately nothing seriously hurt but my pride although  the right side of my back and my right wrist are still a little tender to the touch
