You may all thank me by chipping in and purchasing my home for the newly reduced rate of .05%.  ;)

Our house is officially "active."  If you go to:

www.PortlandHomeTeam.com

Then click on "Search MLS" and enter:

10003611

in the "listing search" link

you will get a gallery (if you click gallery, LOL) of semi-lovely photos.  Because I love you all so dearly, I am offering any of you a 1% discount if you buy the house today.  ;)  (It's actually a bargain at this price, if I do say so myself--our realtor thinks we should have it listed about 100K higher, but I just want the thing to sell quickly).

I didn't see the gouge in the hardwood floor.

That was fixed as part of the kitchen remodel, when we had the entire upstairs floors refinished.

Then I am withdrawing my offer.

did the surgeon show you how long a scar you will have?  i wasn't prepared for how bad the incision would look.  it really does get much, much better after the first month.

If the nurse is to be believed - 3-4 inches.

Procedures must really be improving - they don't even give you a prescription for pain killers when you leave.

der Brucer

I will need a major investment in new wardrobe - pajama bottoms to keep the dogs from licking the legs wounds. (and may some comfy button up flannel shirts - I'm not sure how comfortable I'll be pulling on the long sleeve pull-over sweat shirts I usually wear during the day.

3-4 inches should be nothing.  my 6 inch scar is big on little me.

while i waited in the ER for the surgeon to return keith had time to take sherlock home, feed him & put together essentials i requested.  one was a pair of nice p.j's i received loads of complements on.  :)  unfortunately after surgery i couldn't get back into them until it was time to go home.  they could have unhooked the i.v. for me to change, if i could move my arm to do so.  i went home in my p.j's, no way was i changing again-ouch!

i think wearing pajama's in the hospital instead of their gown makes you feel better.

no pain pills,  FANTASTIC!! :D

Note for TXB:

I told the hospital staff I was not nearly as concerned about the surgery as I was about the possibility of getting MRSA.

I'm glad i forgot about that.  i did watch to make sure everyone used the disinfectant hand cleaner on the wall, though i would have preferred peddle controlled sink by the door.

Didn't Stu Phillips compose the theme to the original Battlestar Galactica TV series?

Again, I had to go back and add a few things that belonged earlier, and then I spent a lot of time on doing Forget Me Not Lane at the Taper, as that was such an interesting experience.  Right now, I'm about to go over to Groucho's house to play the piano for him.

I gave a donation to the Salvation Army for Haiti today.  They have been in Haiti since 1950 and have a number of facilities, schools etc there.  I figured that the money will be more likely to go directly to those who need help.

I laughed through today's ONE LIFE TO LIVE EPISODE. First we had Kyle teasing Fish about Ford's hot body, then we had this great bit of dialogue:
Markko: The man's a complete Philistine.
David Vickers: I don't care about his religion.
There was even a joke when the vain David Vickers, hilariously played by Tuc Watkins, was angry about Ford's internet soap based on him called UGLY DAVID. He was complaining to his attorney about the bad actor playing Ugly David: "What kind of a name is Tuc?"

And then, we had the hysterical sight of the eternally horny Blair, who seems to think she's sexy, crawling on the floor like a tiger dressed by WhoresRUs to make love to David's attorney. Today's episode was a complete hoot.

So, FSM announced it's latest release today.  It's a biggie and a brilliant score - Islands In The Stream by Jerry Goldsmith.  For those that buy it, you'll notice that the Kritzerland logo and my name appear on the release.  To see why, here's a link to the story:

I wore that same outfit to the the theatre last weekend.  I think I'll save it for the office party!  Or church!

"My model is an up-and-coming starlette who will be attending a post-premier Hollywood cocktail party thrown by Brad and Angelina where she hopes to attract the attention of the important movers and shakers, along with the panzerotti..."

DAW isn't here to defend himself.  I think it's unfair to post pictures of him.  ;)  (Maybe this will get him back).   ;D

DR MBarnum mentioned three thrillers which I thoroughly agree with his opinion on.
As I've stated before, I think that L. A. CONFIDENTIAL is one of the great films of its decade.  That it lost the Oscar to TITANIC is a shame, but. . .I can see that the voters were voting for the technical achievement which TITANIC was, is and ever will be.  I still don't subscribe to the TITANIC backlash, I only wish that James Cameron had fine tuned his script as much as he did the technical aspects of the film.  At the very least, L. A. CONFIDENTIAL took home well-deserved Oscars for its supporting actress and its adapted screenplay.
