Thanks for the condolences.  I went to 4 meetings a year with NACDL for probably 8 years.  I got to know a lot of people very well. I pretty much stopped going a couple years ago, maybe one a year and I don't really spend time with the group.  Jack passing makes me think about the friends I really miss.  I think I'll look into going to the Austin meeting in February. I had decided not to, but there will be a tribute to Jack and I'd like to go to that.   I need to check on plane fares, hotel rooms etc, but I'm, thinking about it seriously

others who hadn't originally planned on going might do so now.

I guess I will find out Tuesday night who my partner is, and what music I get.  I am hoping for DISCO or CHA CHA.....SWING would be okay....but whew!!!  Two and half minutes of all out dancing is tough for an almost 60 year old.

I just spent 5 hours in the emergency room, which was fun.

Chest pains.

Thankfully, it was not my heart.  The doctor thinks it's gastroesophageal reflux disease, so he's referred me to a gastroenterologist and, just to be safe, a cardiologist.

 :(

Oy, between me, DB and you, this is turning into the ER site.

did i start it all ;)

DR Druxy acid reflux can be extremely painful, i hope it was a one time thing, and am very, very happy it wasn't a heart attack.

We just learned that our local symphony orchestra honored Richard's brother John last night and didn't even bother to notify his wife that it was being done.  I'm sure some of us would have made the effort to be there if we'd known.

Maybe this is why NO body ever wears a hat anymore.  It's certainly a good argument against them.

My friend Zachary starts on ALL MY CHILDREN this week.  His episodes are aired Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Not sure what or who he is playing....it's all secret....etc.

I went to Gelson's to get a snack.  Bought some cucumber roll and some cantaloupe and pineapple slices.  I had two little pieces of the cucumber roll.  After the first I thought that it didn't taste right - after the second I knew something was wrong - don't know what it is but somehow it was rotten - I hope I didn't eat enough to get sick.

Did you put it in the freezer just in case you need to give it to the health department if you get sick?

Should I?  I haven't thrown it out yet.  Is the freezer necessary or should I just stick it in the refrigerator?

I'd put it in the freezer. That would preserve it in the condition it is in NOW. If you put it in the fridge, it would continue to spoil, so they wouldn't know the condition it was in at the time you ate it.

Maybe you should put half in the fridge and half in the freezer. Then you 'd have samples both ways.

I don't think freezing it would make any bacteria samples unfindable -- would it?
