The snow continues.  I didn't have my MUMMY marathon last night, perhaps tonight.

Jennifer I don’t think of cheese cake as hard.  As I mentioned mine is so soft it has to set for 3 days before it can be served.

I don't think i explained it right. IT wasn't hard.  It was like how you get a regular NY cheesecake. Firm.

My mom used to make cheesecake pies.  Where i don't think you bake the cream cheese part. And it is basically whipped. I love that texture!

Richard and I have been out playing in the snow clearing our driveway and his car.  We need a rest.

Such are the days of our lives. . .

Yep, I play in the snow.
I crack the ice.
I salt where there was once snow and ice.
I drink a hot beverage and I'm ready to begin again. . .

ONE LIFE TO LIVE is kicking ass today and Fish is a hero!

I've been meaning to mention this. . .

Scott Sickles, who wrote today's episode, is a old friend of mine.
When he lived in Pittsburgh, Scott was instrumental in getting new play reading done on a weekly basis.  I was a part of his company of actors as well as one of the playwrights whose new works were being read.
I receive a notice from Scott every time an episode of OLTL which he has written is to be aired.

Scott has a face book page (in the arts and entertainment pages) called People Who Give a Damn When Scott's One Life Episodes Air.

Thanks for all the Travel Vibes.  There was a little "scare" when I got to Charlotte - my connecting flight back to LGA was delayed by 15 minutes, and then they changed gates and the plane too.  There were also some passengers* on the flight who had been "shuffled" from some later flights, since those later flights to LGA were already being cancelled.  It wasn't a sold out planed, but it was full.  However, I did end up with an empty seat next to me.  -That's always nice.

*It turned out that one of those other passengers was a former college classmate/fellow musician/pianist.  We had a nice mini-reunion in the terminal.  -Because he had been bumped to that flight, he was upgraded to First Class. Hmmm, I knew I should have booked a later flight. ;)

Although...

I guess the adage: Work begets work - was in action while I was in Memphis.  I managed to pick up a full day of playing for another company this Friday here in NYC, and I also got booked to play a couple of days of auditions for a new show (also here in NYC) next week.  And I was also asked about my interest and availability in another quite nice project.  Details to follow once the ink has dried.

My friend, Brendan, who is a pilot for Continental just texted me from Pittsburgh.  He said the snow would most likely be following him when he flies back to Newark this afternoon...

More work is good news!

Very good news.  -And I'm truly thankful I checked my email via my iPhone on the lunch breaks while I was in Memphis. Otherwise, I would have lost out on two of them.  Whew!

And now I need to run out for a bit to take care of some errands as well as meet up with some folks for dinner.

I shall catch up during the blizzard.  ;)

Laters...

Will Johnny finally win the Gold Medal that eluded Irina Slutskaya??

I don't think he's eligible for the Ladies Senior event, despite obvious appearances.

I don't care much whether it snows or not but since they are predicting a blizzard for tomorrow, the middle of the work week I shall say my prayers and then call the office tomorrow hoping for a bad weather closing.

I watched last night's CASTLE while I cooked and ate lunch. Entertaining episode though I had the "mystery girl's" identity nailed very early and also picked the correct murderer. Still, fun show.

Then I watched REVANCHE. It's a German film, a mood piece about revenge and the healing power of nature. Unusual, maybe 15 minutes too long, but the director obviously takes his time with very methodical set-ups, almost no camera movement (a plus), and quiet performances. The leading actor has some of the quiet intensity of Viggo Mortensen but not quite as charismatic.

There are four bonus features, and I got through three of them: trailer, an interview with the director, and a making of documentary where we see the actors being staged in the scenes and then rehearsing before shooting.

The director's first student film, a 45-minute short, is the remaining bonus I haven't gotten to yet. I'll do it when I go back down.
