I had that the other week at Red Cat in Chelsea: Tempura Bacon!

And one of the Donbei places we tried a few weeks ago also featured "deep-fried beacon".  It was basically a plate full of soft pork rinds.  YUM!!!

Back from dinner with Barry Pearl and seeing a very bad production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.  I hadn't seen the show before and I'd imagine it would be funny if comic actors were doing the roles.  Although I got irked at all the little self-referential theater jokes that were so stupid and pointless - I cannot care about characters when they say things like, "I have to come back to see if I have anything to do in act two."  Sorry, bad laugh, and even if it were a good laugh it's the wrong laugh.  I found the score very repetitious but that could be the bad band.
