MattH, do you know if there somewhere on the internet where you can find last nights  skating?

Then I watched AMERICAN IDOL. It was the top 12 men in the semifinals tonight, and, similar to last night, I didn't find much to praise. There is no breakout star like Adam Lambert in the group. I did like maybe three of the voices I heard tonight (not necessarily the song choices, however), but I didn't really flip for anyone.

I'm still trying to decide if I will continue watching this season. I may give it one more week.

BK - I am afraid I also fall into the "Lose the Leg" catagory - but I love the pictures other than that - and I am very anxious to read the book!!

msnbc.com posted the men's final skates a day or two after they happened. They may have the ladies short programs posted by now. You'll have to pick each skater and watch if it's anything like the way they had the men. Go to the results page and you'll see the icon to select for viewing the program.

I've been told by my boss that I should be receiving PONYO tomorrow, so if I do, that will be my work project for the day. If it doesn't come for some reason, I'll be doing YOJIMBO. Both are Blu-ray releases.

Also found out that we're not doing lunch tomorrow, so I'll be on my own. :(

BK, I did this in about 30 seconds in Paint--I'm sure Grant could do a more artful job in 60 seconds with Photoshop:

Hi Vixmom! Glad you were going slow when you car decided to go bonkers.   I was driving really slow around a curve once and the wheel came off my blazer and started rolling down the road.  I had to jump out of the car and chase it.  Most unseemly

Good Evening!

I'm back from Carnegie Hall...

Joshua Denk and Jeremy Denk gave a wonderful recital: Bach, Saint-Saëns, Schumann and Ravel - with a bit of Dvorak/Kreisler for an encore.  My friends Brendan and Jennifer joined me, and it turned out to be Brendan's first time at Carnegie Hall!  -And to top the evening off, we headed backstage afterwards to say Hi to Jeremy.

*And I'd like to say a very public "Thank You" to the ushering staff in the Balcony for reprimanding the gentleman(?) in Row A, Seat 44, for continually texting during the first half of the recital.  One usher spoke to him at the top of intermission, and the head usher spoke to him right as the intermission was ending. He "behaved" during the second half of the recital - although, I could still tell he was texting every now and then, but at least he placed his phone in front of him and covered the screen with his hands instead of holding it out to the side(!?!?!?).

Mr. Barry Pearl has left (he came to pick up a script) and I shall now try to finish a motion picture on Blu and Ray.

And as I was leaving Carnegie Hall, I received a text from my dear friend, Leigh. She was having a drink at a bar over on 9th Ave, so I went over to say Hi and give her hug.  She just came up from DC for the night to see a friend in a show.  Hopefully, she'll be able to get back down to DC tomorrow without too much weather-related drama.  In any case... Even though it was a very short "visit", it was great to see her again.

I love Percy Faith. That is all.

Mr. Barnum, are you planning on coming up to Olympia to see George in THE BRAIN this Spring?

I would very much like to do that, yes!

Please do!!  Maybe everyone can coordinate their arrival times and we can have a big HHW gathering!  Of course, no one in the cast will know who any of you are, but I will! :D

What kind of car do you drive Laura?  Mine is a 1995 Taurus wagon - Derspite havibg just put $850.00 into it just before Christmas and now another $850.00  0 (beside the tensioner I apparently needed a radiator flush, a new Hub bearing and an alignment  )  I have been instructed by the Power that Be to get rid of that damn car before it kills you

As soon as I get my income tax refund (it should be deposited on Friday!), I'm getting my car serviced.  It's been too long and I need to get it done.

DR George - you are a very good brother/uncle.  I hope your sister's household woes are history.

Why, yes I am...and so do I!

Well, I'm leaving now.  My sister and niece are coming over for dinner because their kitchen was flooded last night.

Until later!

Could you ask your sister to put together that new bookcase for you while she is there?

No, not until her house is fixed. ;)

But now I can't find the shelves!  I have the brackets, but not the actual shelves. :P
