Alas, if some of the "early reports" are correct, it looks like some of the businesses in the immediate area of the Convention Center won't know what hit 'em come tomorrow morning when the convention - and all 5000!!! attendees - gets into full swing.

But in the meantime...

*The woman at the chocolate shop will probably give you this information, but just in case she doesn't - The have three different types of Bourbon Chocolates.  From weakest to strongest, they are: the standard Bourbon Chocolates (cream filling), Chocolate-Covered Bourbon Cherries (the cherries have been soaked in bourbon for 11-13 months), and the Bourbon Truffles. ;)

DR elmore - A whole bunch of European music libraries have also digitized their holdings. Have you come across any Victor Herbert scores on any of those sites?

*And, yes, apologies are a good thing.

Seems once you click "ignore" on FB that is it.  You can't go back & choose the reason later.  I didn't realize it had removed the name.  I lost my opportunity. ;D

But the person can choose to Friend you again, so...

*I usually write back to an "unknown" person who wants to Friend me that I only Friend people I've met in person or have just one degree of separation from. Seems to work. I don't "collect" friends.

Remember how I used to complain about all the whores wanting to be friends on MySpace? Well, they're moving to Facebook. I've turned down a couple of young ladies in the past month, and today I turned down a young man who told me he liked older men! If any DRs want to meet him, I'll send you the info!

Yep, the spambots have been making their way over to Facebook lately.  Alas, what some people don't realize is that some of those Quizzes, Clubs, "Fun Applications" and "Farms" are actually email phishing scams.  If one person clicks "Accept", well... It's just like that classic shampoo commercial... and so on, and so on, and so on...

DR JoseSPiano:  LOVED the quote about "the key of Bea Arthur".   I'll bet Bea was roaring over that one from wherever she is right now.

:)

I hope she was too.  -Especially since that was meant as a compliment - the musical director wanted to hear the low(er) range of the actress.

Did everyone hear about the cruise ship in the  Mediterranean that was struck by three huge waves?  Two people dead and six injured.  It was supposedly off of Barcelona, so it was in the same area that I was cruising.  It was also about the same size ship as the Insignia.

Those same storms caused some major damage and deaths along the coast of France too.  The Earth is not a happy campground right now.

OK... I'll be getting my wake-up call in about seven hours, and since I didn't really get any sleep last night... and since I'm playing for 260 people... Well...

Goodnight.

Now that I rearranged my guest room, you can lay in bed and look up at the stars. I'm thinking of moving in there

I hope that means you have a skylight!

No, no skylight, but no one can see in the windows on the south side of the house, and if I leave the shades up, I can see the stars.  It's really cool.  I put clean linens and blankets on the bed tonight. I need to do a really good cleaning before I stay there.

I know. She had great stories. Not much happens these days to tell.

Has she eaten any paper plates lately?

Think I'll get some sleep.  I'll decide when I go upstairs which room to sleep in.
