Happy Birthday Johnny Sheffield.   ;D

I saw in the newspaper this morning that it was his birthday. I was so pleased to see he was still alive! Always loved him, and he grew into a very handsome young man.

Did everyone read about the airline that was considering removing all but one toilet on each of their planes AND make it coin-operated?

I did. Did you read about the airline that is going to charge up to $45 to carry on a bag?

Yes & yes.   I wonder what they will do the first time an air sick passenger can't get the coin in fast enough.

Are the airlines really doing that well that they think they can pull this crap and not pay the consequences?

DR Ron Pulliam - In the spirit of "name checking", I believe you meant to indicate "Magic Johnson", not "Michael Jordan".

Michael Jordan had AIDS, not Magic Johnson.  I don't know who led the commission.

Magic Johnson was HIV positive. I don't believe it has developed into full blown AIDS. To my knowledge Michael Jordan does not have AIDS.

Keith doesn't want to fly to L.A. for my uncle's 90th birthday party & I'm not up to the long drive or take that much time from my PT appointments.  I have considered flying alone.  At the moment I'm not up to that either.  I might be closer to the date.

Whatever airlines are contemplating that silliness, they can kiss my ASS.

Sounds good except you will be in Olympia.

I always thought there were moments of inspired lunacy on "Designing Women," but it usually involved Alice Ghostley being Alice Ghostley rather than any of the political stuff.

She won one or two Emmy's for her role.

I found one nomination for her role on the show, but I found no evidence that she won an Emmy for it.

Bruce, I was referring to the toilets.  Lots of airlines are talking about charging for carry on.

Matt H, I'll have to see how I came up with that.

I just had it in my mind that she was one of those fabulous people who deserved MANY awards and never won an Emmy. Her male counterpart Paul Lynde never won one either even though he got nominated several times for THE HOLLYWOOD SQUARES.

Jane, I thought it was only Spirit Airline that was going to charge for carry-ons. I didn't know others were, too.

I held it all the way across the Atlantic ocean at age 38.......but I don't think I would want to chance it now at my age.

Others are talking about it.  Hopefully they don't follow through.

Anyway, after I watched last night's CASTLE rerun, I watched I LOVE YOU, MAN. An OK buddy comedy; there were a few genuinely funny moments, and there were some running gags that paid off pretty well, too.

Not a great comedy by any means, but I'm glad I saw it.

If one does it, DR LAURA....usually the rest follow....it's like the gasoline stations in your neighborhood.

And I ended my evening with the penultimate episode of SPARTACUS' first season. Lots of bloodshed, and looks like the gladiator revolt is coming next week.

I'm just full of incorrect info today.  She was nominated once & won the QB award once.  If I'm looking at IMBD correctly this time.

I had also forgotten that the last season of THE TUDORS begins tonight. The DVR is recording it as well as BROTHERS & SISTERS.

BK, there was a big article in today's Oregonian that I5 by Olympia will be "a parking lot" (the newspaper's words) on the weekends for the next 5-6 weeks due to having 3 lanes in each direction closed simultaneously.  So you should plan your trip from SeaTac accordingly.

In sad, news, my beloved Aunt Betty passed Saturday morning.  She was the sweetest woman I believe I've ever met.  She would have been 90 this October 6--yes, she was born on my birthday, and we were both left-handed.  In an unbelievable synchronicity there was another Uncle in our family who had been born on October 6 and was left-handed.  Aunt Betty told me years ago that should I ever meet anyone else born on October 6 and they turned out to be right-handed I should inform them that that was incorrect.  :)

Thoughts for you and your family DR JMK.  We both lost an Aunt Betty this spring.

The Brimms had the coolest Iowa farmhouse that I stayed at several summers growing up.  It was really a Tom Sawyer time for me--I remember biking down to the Cedar River (I think that's its name) to fish with my cousin Bob.  And they had a HUGE treehouse insanely high in a gigantic tree in their backyard that we camped out in.
