So seriously, did HHW already discuss the Tovah Feldshuh and Betty Buckley teaming in ARSENIC AND OLD LACE?

Scott Schwartz directs.

His dad's song "Lion tamer" is being interpolated, not into the show, just into the rehearsal period.

Does your Lucy movie set contain this?

Well, no, because that's from THE LONG, LONG TRAILER, not I LOVE LUCY: THE MOVIE.

When I went down, I did indeed watch MAMMY. They have done a wonderful job with the restoration and remastering. It is by far the best looking of the Jolson titles and that includes THE JAZZ SINGER which was also remastered and restored.

Obviously Irving Berlin was pushing hard for "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy" to become a hit song (I am guessing that it did) since it's sung three times in the movie and featred in the overture and main titles and play out music.

I like this film much more than most of Jolson's star vehicles for Warners, much more than SAY IT WITH SONGS or THE SINGING FOOL (though it does have quite a few songs that I really love like "There's a Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder" is one example).

Surely it's for a stage revival production, not a film remake.

Then I channel surfed on the new cable box for a bit. It's going to take some time for me to get comfortable with all of these new channel locations. Oy!

I next watched tonight's HUMAN TARGET, the season finale. Naturally there's a cliffhanger, and since the series hasn't been renewed for next season yet, that might mean that one of the characters stays kidnapped for all eternity!

But a good guest cast: Amy Aker, Lee Majors (who looks much better than he's looked in other guest star roles for the last few years), Amande Assante, and from PSYCH, Timothy Omudson.

I ended my evening with tonight's MODERN FAMILY. Some good segments with all of the players. Phil, as usual, made me laugh the most, but Cam and Gloria were also funny separately.

They aren't remaking the movie, they are mounting a stage production in Dallas starring Feldshu & Buckley

Today has been a day of animal abuse:

I seem to have a summer cold - lots of sneezing and a stuffed up head (almost sounds like allergies except it goes away in a day)- so I called in and cancelled my 8:15 AM Rehab session, intending to stay in bed.

Well, before the sun was even full up, a female Cardinal was scolding me through the bedroom window (I hadn't been doing the birds or squirrels for a few weeks). So, I trundled out of bet and took some bird seed out to the feeder. I wasn't back in bed more than 10 minutes before a squirrel had climbed up to the naked corn cob on the feeder and started staring in the widow; I looked out, and damned if that little beast didn't put his two paws on the tired old cob, give it a hug, and give me a long, longing stare - so we make another trip outside.

Following posts are the picture evidence of the harassment.

LOL, DerBrucer.

The peanut gallery has been complaining here about the lack of peanuts. I told my DH to pick some up at the store today.

If they were doing it as a film, they'd definitely cast bigger box-office film names in those parts, like Meryl Streep and Glenn Close, for example.

In addition to the Crow - who is a new comer - we had brief visits from Cardinals, Blue Jays, Tufted Titmice, and sparrows

Watched Lost - it was okay.  I really don't think they can find an interesting way out of the alternate timeline - I think they thought it was a grabber to do, but really, where can it possibly go that's of interest?

I love your wildlife photos, DerBrucer.

I'm not sure they are "wildlife" - they are indigenous Sussex-Countians who are attempting to train the invasive species "homo sapien".
