No UPS deliveries as yet, but it's still early. Something might come later this morning. If it doesn't, I'll have the day off. If CRAZY HEART comes, that will be today's work project.

Since my back is still very sore and the prospects of being able to do my walk tomorrow morning questionable, I'm leaning toward once again staying up late tonight and watching GLEE after I finish LOST.

If I don't end up having a work project today that would necessitate my posting a review later tonight, that wouold probably clinch the deal and allow me to stay up later than usual.

I'm going to head down now to see if the UPS man manage to sneak up to the front door without my seeing him. Then, I'll start watching some of the stuff on the DVR.

Good morning, all! A day with OZ and Cinderella. I have some "Lady of the Slipper" work and more WIZARD OF OZ edits. My canceled luncheon date is set for 1 pm today, and I look forward to catching up on things with my friend Daniel Neer, whom I've not seen since last August's round of ill health.

DR MattH, I agree with you about Miss Deschanel; I think she is perfection as Temperance Brennan. I'm sorry, DR JRand59, I think she's quite beautiful. You just want Diane McBain in the role and I suspect you'd be happier if BONES were a 1960s Warner Brothers production with McBain and Van Williams in the roles. :)

French singers: Jacques Brel, although he's actually Belgian, Georges Guetary, and Edith Piaf. I love Chevalier in films and their soundtrack recordings, but he's not someone for whom I'd particularly seek out a solo CD. On the classical side, Natalie Dessay, Yvonne Printemps, Mady Mesple, Lily Pons, Liliane Berton, Michel Dens.

DR ELMORE I sent your BRAINEX INDIANA program along - with post-it note addenda, and I also included a very short DVD of an amusing incident that happened in a British pub two weekends ago when the participants obviously didn't know that a friend had a telephone video camera on......and that their hijinks would soon be all around the world for the amusement of those amused by such things.

I cannot keep track of where in the world is Diane McBain!

Of course I have still not transcribed her interview from a few years ago, so I have no reason as yet to figure out where she now resides.

Diane McBain is evidently not whom I thought she was.  Was she ever a brunette?  Who was the nice brunette named Diane who appeared in lots of 70's tv?

May I just add that the band Incognito is one of the most funkalicious groups I've heard in the past 25 years.  That is all.

I think you should ponder the truth behind the early bird adage, DR MBarnum.

"Le Marseillaise" is probably my favorite French tune.   Not as "spoken" by Ginger Rogers in "The Barkleys of Broadway", however.

I'm very fond of the performance of one Mssr. Georges Guetary in "An American in Paris" in the 'I'll Build A Stairway to Paradise" number.

Is "C'est Si Bon" a French song?  I love Streisand's performance of it.

A couple of years ago, Diane McBain was teaching acting at a school in San Francisco.  Don't know if that gig is continuing or not.

OMG!  Today's Gold Box feature on Amazon.com is an AMAZING Price for a complete Blu-ray set.  It's $15 less than I paid when I got my amazing deal on it late last year.

elmore, I don't know if I mentioned it, but they used a five-piece band, but had two reed players, as I guess they didn't have one person who could play all the reed parts.  So, there was no keyboard two.  Still, it sounded good.
