Does any DR have a nice recording of Irving Berlin's "Always" in a file they can send me?  I can't find quite the version I want anywhere.....not much interested in a Jazz/Sarah Vaughan type recording or an instrumental.

It plays a part in BLITHE SPIRIT, of course.

Hey, Lulu!

Good to see you again.

I am one of the few people (in the world it seems and on this site) that is NOT on Facebook.

I'm also not into the Book of Face.  Just not my cuppa...

Has anyone heard of a 50s and 60s gossip columnist called Bill Dakota?  He had a newspaper called the Hollywood Star.  He's been e-mailing me - very interesting chap.  He found me because I'd posted that wonderful photo I got a couple of years ago of Nick Adams standing in front of the Wiltern Theater - he apparently was Nick's best friend.

I love French musique and chanteurs.  Brel, Mirelle Matthieu, Monnot, Piaf, Aznavour, Chavalier, and many others.

Mr. Sondheim appeared on the Today show giving a brief (4:22) interview related to the opening of Sondheim on Sondheim.

Sondheim on Today

Mr. Sondheim gets 4:22 minutes and Green Day gets to do a concert to promote AMERICAN IDIOT.

But then, who in his right mind would risk putting Mr. Sondheim on early morning TV for more than ten minutes if he was in a cranky mood?

MR BK - it seems to me that the Hollywood Star was a Gay Newspaper that was available by mail but not generally distributed....perhaps it was in Hollywood....

I've had an incredibly long morning.  I decided that I was well enough to go to the office, but I also decided that I should first go to my doctor's office to get my six-month bloodwork done.  So I drove out to his office (one half hour in one direction), then drove to my train station in Collingswood NJ (45 minute drive), only to find no parking available.  So I drove to the next station down the line (five minute drive) and was able to find parking right next to the station door (though I had to pay $1 for the privilege.)  Then the 30 minute train ride to Philly and then the other 30 minute train to Conshohocken.  Then another half hour chit-chatting with everyone telling them about my long morning.  Sheesh...

DR JRand, I have ALWAYS as done by Ella Fitzgerald and the Paul Weston Orchestra.  I don't think it's what you're looking for though...

Never heard of Dakota, but I knew Nick Adams.

I think that Robert Conrad and John Ashley were his best friends.

I also love BONES.....I wish the leading lady was a bit prettier, but David B. makes up for a lot of short comings.

I disagree completely about Emily Deschanel. I think she's most attractive and playing a nerdy doctor of forensic anthropology, if she were any more glamorous, it would be ridiculous miscasting. I find the combination of her looks and brains, her mastery of her subject matter with her clumsy handling of real-world matters to be completely disarming and appealing. Her looks are (or should be) beside the point.

I may not be happy with the show anymore, I do however agree with you about Emily Deschanel.

DR jane according to amazon.com SHERLOCK HOLMES (with robert downey jr came out on march 30th).

And NetFlix, possibly other rental services, get their DVD's after they are available for sale.  I expect libraries get them when they are released.

Several days ago I spent too much time working at the computer, now within minutes of sitting here I have a deep pain near my left shoulder blade.  I think I had better limit my computer time for the next few days.

That's funny i would have thought that netflix would get them way before my library.

There was a story recently about Netflix having a 28 day delay on availability for new releases for some studios.
