Just listened to The Brain from Planet X again.  Still sounds darn good.

Nice review, thanks for posting it.

Hope I will get to see the show again in CA, someday.

Dear George, had to pay both fed and state taxes ( almost 1700.00 for both) now I'm broke till the next time we have 5 paychecks in a month.   Afraid to charge the trip on my credit card just in case I can not pay if off.

I'm  :'( :'( :'(, I'll miss your show.   Really wanted to make the trip my vacation this year.  And take the time off from work and really really get away from it all.

Looks like my vacation this year will be at the local beach, walks are free.  ;D ;D

Very windy outside, time to close the drapes and watch a movie.   ;D ;D

Night all.

I am off to have tea with Vixdad - laters!

Is that a euphemism?

I just watched the BONES IN THE UK 2-parter; I thnk it's the weakest of all the episodes I've seen' there were funny moments and I liked the stuff going in in the US, like the Angela-Hodgins breakup, but I found the writing for London not so good and not the right tone for Booth and Brennan behavior outside their home base. Too bad.

Nice review!

From the review:
Quote
The large cast included some performers playing smaller roles that only accentuated their limitations.

Ouch!

That was the same thought I had when I read the review! LOL!

Hector Penate, the guy who says he's having a "full-blown affair" [TCB, any comments?] with Larry King's wife, doesn't look like any Hector I've ever seen.

Let me google-image him for you.

http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=%22hector%20penate%22&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

If I knew a Hector, that is the one I would like to know!

Jose do you ahave any thoughts abou the new La Cage ?  The Vixter is anxious to see it.  I am a  great fan of both the original movie  and the 1980's production  but  I have been wary of this latest incarnation - what do you  hear?

I haven't seen it yet myself, but...

The NY Times really liked it, and most everyone I know who saw it in previews really liked it too.  In fact, it practically received raves across the board.  -Just be sure to see it before Kelsey Grammer switches parts once Douglas Hodge leaves.  I have a feeling that that's going to be a totally different show.

The meeting was very interesting.  HWHC let me send him all these great ideas and he made them sound like they were new etc...well luckily I was there to listen because they were all either in progress or have been tried before.  There are some that are new, but not really.  I am still in for doing the design review standards.  I'm in way over my head, but that's ok, I'll figure it out as I go along.

My DSL was out all afternoon and early evening, so that's why I haven't been on until now, not that anyone noticed.

I did get a UPS delivery this morning, so it ended up not being a day off after all. Tomorrow, however, should be a free day.

While I was fixing lunch, I watched NURSE JACKIE. An OK episode this week, but Dr. Cooper is really funny and becoming my favorite cast member.

While I ate lunch, I watched last night's CASTLE. Good mystery, and the new love interest for Beckett is very nice. It's going to be fun seeing Castle squirm with him around.

I did have a great time talking to the other people on the coalition.  Unfortunately I decided to get involved right at them time of the big neighborhood clean-up.  So...guess I'll be picking up trash on Saturday

Then I watched CRAZY HEART on Blu-ray for my work project. Good performances from all three leads (even if Maggie's accent seems to veer all over the place). I was impressed with Jeff Bridges and especially Colin Farrell's voices. When they do a duet midway through the movie, it's sensational and easily the best thing in the movie.

The rest is fairly predictable stuff, and if you've seen TENDER MERCIES, it'll certainly seem familiar though the endings are different.

Hello, everyone.

Continued PAIN-BE-GONE VIBES to MATTH, TCB, JANE, VIXMOM, and anyone else in need.

Thank you, DR Jeanne. Though there is still soreness there, I'm happy to say I have been in much less pain today. As always, it takes three or four days for this to work its way out of my lower back.

There were only a few bonus features on the CRAZY HEART disc: some deleted scenes (one of which was REALLY good, the meeting of father and son; be sure to watch it if you rent or buy the disc), a brief three minute interview with the stars, and the trailer. That's it!

I skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Nothing of interest and nothing in the previews either.

I also had time to watch that BONES episode with the frightful scare at the end and the discovery of another Gormogon skeleton.

DR JENNIFER, the original book, STRETCHING, is the one I had in mine. I'm not familiar with the one geared to computer use, and the stretches I'm thinking of for your low back may not be in there. When I was going through the worst of my back problems I wouldn't even think of skipping my stretches. They really were a big help. The fact that your back feels better after exercise indicates that you need to stretch more often.

After not being able to get on-line and simply writing my review up and then heading back down, I began with last night's DAMAGES season finale. Sensational wrap-up with lots of surprises.

Unquestionably the best season for the show.

I watched Sunday night's THE TUDORS, the second episode of the season. At least the ulcer in Henry's leg is starting to age him and slow him down, and Catherine Howard is looking around to find someone to dally with.
