Good morning, all! I am very tired this morning. Last night between 11 and 11:30, I had to put up with what I suppose was horseplay between owner and dog as I had to listen to a lot of thumps, bumps, thuds, and the constant clatter of an animal's claws tapping on the floor while the animal ran rampant about the apartment to a lot of loud sounds of amusement from its owner. Every day murder seems more and more the only possible solution.
My irritation over all of this naturally kept me from getting to sleep as I mentally ran through various solutions, and sometime after 1:30 am, long after i had dozed off, I had to deal with the creep above me walking around the apartment in 2-ton cleats. This morning, when he left the apartment to walk the dog, around 7:15, I was awakened by his door slamming. I think I will call the landlord today.
So, I am off to Toyland. I have some LADY OF THE SLIPPER questions from the artist laying out the scores in their new format that can only be answered by looking at notes from editing sessions four years ago. After that, I have another stop at the market, and then back here for OZ edits. Tonight I'm going out with Danny Burstein and his beautiful wife Rebecca Luker after SOUTH PACIFIC, so I'll probably have a late afternoon nap.
