DR Laura, it's not.  But certain projects can be completed and become a sense of accomplishment.  There will always be more :)

My sister in NC is going through a rough spell.  Her husband had to declare bankruptcy with his business and he is now needing emergency surgery for a troubling condition which I won't go into here.  They have had to sell their home in Raleigh and are moving permanently to their "vacation" home on Emerald Isle.  They certainly have enough money to retire on comfortably, but they're having their share of problems right now.

Vibes for your sister and brother-in-law, DR JMK.

Going through some major financial issues currently myself, I can understand some of what they are going through.

No, but I think they will be using the materials I restored in 1998 for the Kennedy Center production.

Mikey would be fine if he'd keep his hands off the $1.00 DVDs in the Piggly Wiggly and the $20 garcons  outside.

I think I was a little over-ambitious on my yard re-do.

For the record, I stopped buying plants. Pretty much. Other people giving me plants ....

And even though our stalker tried to, as always, make me into the villain, the legal department of MGM is now taking this on - because - oops, I'm right and the other person is so in the wrong it's not even funny - as he's about to find out.  So, stalker 0, person in the wrong 0, and rights' holders and Kritzerland - in the RIGHT.

One way or another, I'm sure we will get to hear Kristin Chenoweth warble something from the PROMISES, PROMISES revival.  In fact, I'm willing to bet that she somehow gets a nomination (despite being basically ignored by all the other awards thus far.)

Last week on Regis & Kelly's "Broadway Week," for Promises, Promises, she sang "Say a Little Prayer for Me."

So, they're not just interpolating, they're also changing the titles?

"I Say a Little Prayer"...picky, picky!

....umm, I was talking more about the pronoun at the end.

D'oh!

TOD:

My high school class ring was nice....onyx stone, gold....

Right now I have a nice "eye" ring....a blue eye in a sterling silver setting that I wear to work....i also like a hematite ring which I wear to banish negativity....

Hematite?  Does that mean both sex organs?

T.O.D.

Many, many years ago I had a beautiful imperial ruby ring in a setting that was designed for me by a jeweler.  Sadly, it went the way of the pawn shop back when I was married.  I now have a gold ring that I wear from time to time that always gets noticed.  Oh and I have a couple of wedding rings that I dig out when I have to be married in a play.

I also have a thing for watches.  I love unusual watches.  I have had a great many dazzling watches over the years.  The unfortunate part of that is that I am extremely hard on watches.

As I knew she would, our darling stalker 3D Diffusion went to the Film Score board after reading (always reading - obsessively reading every day, every notes, every post) and tried to shift everything onto me - not possible, of course, because the thread speaks for itself, but she tried, oh, yes, she tried.  And I simply pointed out that the dear girl is an obsessive stalker who follows me wherever I go and tries to stir up trouble.  Some things never change.

I haven't seen this....what thread is her post in?

This One

I think.

???

I think I will stick to HHW.

Topic of the Day:  I used to wear my college class ring, but I haven't in many years.  But one thing I do wear all the time is my Until There's a Cure bracelet.  I did an AIDS benefit in Tacoma in 1996 and each cast member was given one.  I didn't start wearing it regularly until sometime in early 1997, but I've been wearing it ever since.  This is what it used to look like...mine is not this shiny any more ;) :

At the time we got these, the only ones available were silver plated, sterling silver and I think a completely gold plated bracelet (although there isn't a gold-plated bracelet now, so I could be wrong about that).  Now, they have so many options from which to choose!

I got home from 2 very long meetings with the grantwriters just in time to have a quick supper with Richard and Rob before Richard left to rehearse with the Middletown Symphony Chorus.  They're doing excerpts from Bernstein's Mass a week from Saturday.  Now I'm looking forward to NCIS and GLEE.

TOD - Of course, my favorite jewelry is my wedding set, which I only take off to mix meatloaf with my hands.  I always wear a ring on my right hand, too.  Depending on my clothing palate:

--the pink cameo that my grandfather gave my grandmother in a pendant and my aunt had reset into a ring for my high school graduation

--the black onyx with a silver University of Michigan seal that my parents gave me when I was a student

--the 2 blue topaz/1 amethyst ring that Richard bought for me from a juried craft show

--the tanzanite/diamond ring that Richard gave me for Christmas a few years ago

--the opal/diamond ring that I inherited from my mother-in-law

With pierced ears, I wear earrings all the time.  Favorites include the amethyst/diamond set that Richard gave me when I asked for purple earrings one year for Christmas, the diamonds from his father's watch that he had made into earrings for me, the tanzanite set he gave me with the ring described above, and the apples that DR Elmore gave me on opening night of The Apple Tree, for which I was his director's assistant.

And the first casualty is...

Enron Falls Again; Broadway Run of Acclaimed London Play Will End May 9

And of course the pundits touted this as the one to beat.  Go know.  Finished the Allan Carr book (pretty bad) and will now watch something hopefully fun.
