Thanks, DR Jane! We are back from the concert, which was quite wonderful. I can't remember the last time I heard the Middletown Symphony and can't even remember the last time I was in the Dave Finkelman Auditorium (imagine that, DR Elmore!). The second half was all Bernstein, starting with the overture to
Candide, followed by selections from
Mass, and ending with "Make Our Garden Grow" from
Candide. Aside from the handsome baritone in the clerical collar

in the chorus, the cutest guy on stage was Benjamin Warschawski, the tenor who sang the role of the Celebrant in
Mass and Candide in the finale.
