Thank you, DRs Vixmom and George, for the vibes for Richard for tonight's concert.  I just have to help him remember to take his kazoo.

Sorry, I was negligent.  I hope he has a wonderful concert!

Thanks, DR Jane!  We are back from the concert, which was quite wonderful.  I can't remember the last time I heard the Middletown Symphony and can't even remember the last time I was in the Dave Finkelman Auditorium (imagine that, DR Elmore!).  The second half was all Bernstein, starting with the overture to Candide, followed by selections from Mass, and ending with "Make Our Garden Grow" from Candide.  Aside from the handsome baritone in the clerical collar  ;) in the chorus, the cutest guy on stage was Benjamin Warschawski, the tenor who sang the role of the Celebrant in Mass and Candide in the finale.

did her remerber his kazoo?

Oh, DR Vixmom, I hope, hope, hope The Vixter is able to take those college classes.  Our DS Rob took one class each semester of his senior year at the Miami campus across the street from MHS.  Our biggest regret is that we didn't encourage him to take more, especially freshman English.

Yes, DR Vixmom, when I asked him in the car if he'd remembered his kazoo, he answered me with a serenade.  Our friend Lynn had to get a new one when she got to the concert venue because her 2-year-old grandson threw up on hers last night.

What show are you seeing tonight, BK?

I think it's HMS Pinafore but done Star Wars-style.  Pray for Rosemary's Baby, baby.

that should be.....................interesting

All in all, I'm glad I got to hear music by Otto Nicolai, Franz Liszt, and Leonard Bernstein tonight...

I am really disgusted at the number of wonderful old houses around here that are being ruined with steel roofs.  I mean look at this!! They are everywhere around here.  UGH!

Believe it or don't, the first production of MASS outside of the Kennedy Center was at the University of Utah, with members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Utah Symphony and David Cryer.  It was amazing.

You're really lucky, they are everywhere here (as in Wisconsin) and look bad.  They are supposedly environmentally friendly, but i think it's just a really good salesman

Vibes to all who need them.  We're heading home tomorrow.  It was a short trip and I was bummed that Adam's boss made him work constantly.  He even came and found him at dinner to tell him he had to go in and work tonight. You'd think he would have given him a little time to see family, hopefully for breakfast....we'll see

I'm sleepy, it was a long day of eating.   Cheese from a cheese factory, fresh donuts from an Amish farm, and a wonderful dinner in Westby WI.

Bruce, I wish that every autobiography read as beautifully as your book.

I ditto that!

I have started, and never finished, several celeb autobiographies in recent years that were just dull, dull, dull. Bruce is a a much more entertaining writer then most other actors...of course other actors are not wonderful writers (as well as actors) like BK is.

Back from the show - not my cuppa - not Pinafore/Star Wars but Pinafore/Star Trek, but without much point.  However, the friends and relatives hooted and hollered.

I'm meeting my friend at Jerry's after she's gotten her notes.  So, I'm going to write our notes right now so they're ready to post upon my return.

Good Evening!

Well..

Bloomingdales. Glaser's Bake Shop. Central Park. Shake Shack. Candle Bar - where my friends Brendan (on violin) and Lukus (on vocals and guitar) ended up performing an acoustic version of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face/Bad Romance". Lincoln Center. Columbus Circle.

I received a phone call from former DR WFO a little while ago- he and his ever lovin' Joe were in a ca accident on Wednesday.  The car skidded on an oil slick and wenrt off the road and into a tree- the airbags failed to deploy

Joe was in ICU until today when he was transferred to WFO's room - WFO has a fractured pelvis and Joe  severalbroken ribs and bleedng of the brain

Bill called too late for me to get to the hospital today to see them so I will try to get there tomorrow

I request your vibes and prayers for their recovery
