BK, did you send a copy of the book to Shelly Morrison? I loved the sections about her.

...and since I am just about to sit down and watch one of his movies, how about a page 7 Rajesh Khanna dance!

And likely he will dance in this movie tonight.

Very early this morning on TCM is VALLEY OF THE SUN and western with comic overtones from 1942 starring James Craig and Lucille Ball....it is most entertaining.....if you haven't seen it....

I know three people who had broken pelvises. They all healed up ok. So hopefully WFO will do ok, too.

The most frightening Eddie Mekka news of all time is that he's about to star in a production of Fiddler On The Roof - probably dinner theater or stock or something.

Well...

He's currently playing Tevye at The Engeman Theater on Long Island. Here's a LINK.  It's an Equity house, but I'm not sure if it would be classified as Regional, Stock, or Summer Stock (they're a year-round theatre).

However, this is the second time he's played Tevye. A couple of years ago, he played Tevye in a production of Fiddler at the historic Bucks County Playhouse.  Here's a YouTube Clip. -Consider yourself warned. :-\

the John Engeman theatere is in my neck of the woods- I was considering going to see Fiddler there but now having seen that You Tube clip.....

Weren't people joking about a baseball musical yesterday?  I mean, there was a little show called DAMN YANKEES about 50 years or so ago.  ;)

There was also a flop about Jackie Robinson and BK recorded two numbers from it on UNSUNG MUSiCALS, and there was a revue, DIAMONDS, that had the great song "Hundredas of Hats."

And there was a little show about Jackie Robinson called NATIONAL PASTIME that starred a handsome actor by the name of Tom Birkeland as Branch Rickey.

I hear that as well as being terribly handsome he is also immensely talented

Well... In all fairness to Mr. Mekka - as well as to The John Engeman Theater - that clip from Bucks County wouldn't do anyone any favors: the quality (or lack thereof) of the video and the totally canned/synthed "orchestra".  I've seen a few shows at the Engeman, and they do pretty good work.

And speaking of baseball, has anyone here read Stephen King's BLOCKADE BILLY?

is it out yet? I haven't been able to go shopping yet. Liked the baseball book he wrote with Stewart O'Nan and "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon."

I have the pop-up edition of "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon."

Just had to share. :)
